24.01.2022 We have just finished stripping the paint off an Aston Martin V8S. Great looking lines. We have done a few Aston Martins in the past, mainly DBs. This car looks pretty sound and should come up well with the restoration. Move over Roger Moore and his "Persuasive" friends! Checkout the background, didn't Tony Curtis drive a Dino?

18.01.2022 The Porsche 356 Outlaw is finally finished and about to be licensed. Turned out terrific - not too flashy but some good subtleties in the build. Super clean engine bay and retro interior. The owner is looking forward to getting it on the road for a drive.

18.01.2022 The Porsche 356 Outlaw has finally finished its trim and leaving us to get the electrics sorted. The owner wanted a modern retro look to the interior. Old school racing seats trimmed in Spanish leather. Rear seat has been removed and boxed and brushed aluminium tunnel and sill covers added. There's a lot of subtleties to this car if you closely. Apologies to the 356 purists out there, but the owner wanted something different. Hopefully we will see this on the road shortly.

11.01.2022 We are just finishing off the paint on another "Black Cat". An XK120 that we rebuilt over the last year or so. The Black XK140 we did previously was a very "Black" Black. This cat has an interesting blue metal flake in it. Looks fantastic in the sun. These shots are off the gun, so it has not been polished to its full potential yet.

10.01.2022 Still fairly busy in the workshop at the moment. finishing off a few cars fresh out of the paint booth - Porsche 356, XK120, and a Cooper. Body work ongoing on a Sunbeam Tiger, E-Type and a few others, that have been with us for a while. We have a few new cars coming in to take their spot. Check out this nice Mercedes 190, which is in the shop for a freshen up. These cars have gone way up in value over the last few years. This is a nice example, quite clean and sound. Should look great with new paint and trim.

06.01.2022 The paint booth has just had its annual clean and refurbishment The Aston Martin has first dibs on the new booth. Its body work has been finished and moved into the both. We hit it with a good quality two pack etch primer and it is now ready for a rub down. There are some very subtle and complex body lines on this car which should keep our body prep man on his toes. Such a cool, light classic 1970 shape this car has. Lets see what colour it comes out?

02.01.2022 We have been working on this cooper S for while. Just finished paint. Very retro aqua blue paint colour..

02.01.2022 The old Fiat is mechanically coming together. It's been hard work over at AMS Racing to get the mechanicals apart, let alone put them back together. It took three bottles of Acetylene to feed the "hot spanner" to loosen 100 years of metal corrosion. There are no online spare parts shops for this 'ol girl. Everything has to be meticulous dismantled, cleaned, rewelded, ground and rebuilt. Fortunately we have the right man on the job, (call sign "Zman") who has the experienc...e and the patients to do the job. We were over there today watching the Zman cut up a Chevy spring so he could make a new sprung cir-clip for the advance/retard ball joint connector. The original one rusted away in September of 1943! The magneto had to be sent off to somewhere North of Greenland and the generator to somewhere South of Antarctica, in order to find someone who knew how to fix them. The" Matouche" as he is known at AMS, who can rebuild anything that burns petrol was certainly pushed on this one. It is coming together quite well and will soon be hopefully reunited with its coach work. See more

02.01.2022 The old Fiat is nearing completion. The engine, gear box and all things mechanical have been rebuilt by AMS Racing. The body and chassis have been reunited for the first rime in 100 years. Really like the dark blue colour the customer chose.
