25.01.2022 Today was all about being grateful. We learnt how being grateful can make us feel happy. We all wrote on leaves for our gratitude tree, when it's ready, we'll share a pic. Being grateful for all the wonderful things in your life is important for a positive mindset. A kind word to someone else can spark a flow of gratitude. Think about what you are grateful for today.
23.01.2022 Today for Mental Health week, our students saw the representation of our feelings and thoughts through the use of a mind jar which is filled with glitter. When you shake it all up it's like your thoughts and feelings when you are in a hurry, stressed, angry or upset. You can use this jar to help you calm by watching the glitter settle to the bottom while you breathe slowly. Your thoughts and feelings may still be in your mind, they are just sitting peacefully at the bottom as you know how to calm using your breathing and think logically again. 18.01.2022 Yesterday for our Mental Health week activity the students learnt how deep belly laughter can stimulate endorphins and make you happy and calm. It also allows you to have increased focus for the next 40mins. A great start to the day!! Here's some of the fun we had.
16.01.2022 Here's our Gratitude Tree from Mental Health week. The students wrote what they are grateful for on leaves. This activity was to help us to remember to be grateful for all the wonderful things in our lives, and that we can speak nicely to others to help them see all the wonderful things about themselves as well.

13.01.2022 On Friday we ended Mental Health week with a story about friendships and kindness. The students identified the messages in the story; always be kind to others and be yourself no matter what. The students discussed ways they can show kindness. And we reminded them that the learnings from this week are to be utilised all the time, not just for special weeks such as Mental Health week.
