20.01.2022 Old Dogs are the Best Dogs........ How old is your dog in people years? Every species ages at their own rate. We used to think that multiplying by 7 would be a good comparison to human years for our dog but recent studies by the University of California have studied blood sample showing gene patterns that regulate the speed at which the body ages. 1yr old dog =a 30yr old person 9yr old dog = a 65yr old person... Dogs age more quickly than people at an early age and then slow down their aging after sexual maturity. However all the tests have been done on Labradors and we know that they are always young at heart. See more

20.01.2022 With temperatures said to be reaching the high 30s this weekend please remember to keep an eye on your pets ! - only walk dogs in the early morning or late evening and avoid hot footpaths (remember if it’s too hot for you to walk on with bare feet then it is too hot for them too) - make sure they have adequate water around in shady areas to keep it cool - keep Pocket pets like rabbits and guinea pigs AND birds indoors and out of the sun! And ensure they have enough water -... do not walk or exercise our short/squishy nosed dog breeds such as bull dogs and frenchies as they are at high risk of over heating! We are open from 8am - 12pm today If you suspect your animal has heat stroke take them to the vet ASAP ! This can be life threatening. After hours vets: SASH Sydney: 02 9889 0289 VSOS miranda: 02 8376 8761 See more

05.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE As we are sure everybody is aware the second wave of corona virus is here and we require strict policies to manage this. our current clinic policies to keep us all safe include: ONE person only to come into the hospital with your pet (the rest of the family is to wait outside in the designated waiting area. children under 12 are an exception). Please DO NOT enter the hospital as soon as you arrive. ... Check to see if anyone is in the waiting room - if it is empty you may enter - if not please wait outside in the waiting area (we can see that you are here on our cameras, or you can call us to let us know you are out there waiting). please use the hand sanitiser provided as soon as you enter the hospital. you MUST have an appointment (this is to limit the number of people coming in at once) Please call ahead and order medication and food When picking up medication and food please call us from out the front and we will bring it out/take payment out there. if possible pay over the phone before you come in so we can just bring your food/medication or pet out to your car. If there are things we need to discuss with more than one family member or you would like more than one person present we can move the consult outside to talk to everyone in a larger area. We know all of our wonderful clients will respect and follow these rules that allow us to stay open and care for your pets! See more
