24.01.2022 I was asked why do I keep posting about Salon Business Owners. It got me thinking why.. I searched my heart and closed my eyes. I silently and sincerely ask my self why?... Then an image crossed my vision. I remembered when I was a little girl, back in the Philippines, my mom used to go to a Salon to get her hair done and or nails done. Its very rare to see my mom have time for herself, let alone be still and close her eyes. (She is a very busy, hustler, going-against-all-odds-type-of-mum to provide for her children). In a split of a second, I can see that she is relaxed, calm and composed. Back then, at a tender age, I knew I wanted to be the provider of that split second moment. I want to give women and mothers (especially my mom) a time and opportunity calm and collect themselves. Even in a split second on a chair so that they can face the world with renewed fierceness and confidence. Fast forward today, I did not end up a hairdresser. I ended up becoming an Accountant. So, I am providing tips to salon owners because my subconsious being, my inner self rallies toward equipping them become successful business. Collectively, they helped my Mum raised me to who I am today. I provide bookkeeping service to hairdressers and salon owners for they have a special place in my heart. I do my share of providing them information to run their business successfully so that they can become pillars of women and mothers to be confident to face challenges that comes their way. I am accountant by profession but a hairdresser at heart!

22.01.2022 If you are a providing a service, this one is for you!!! Cost of Goods/service (COG) anything directly related to what your product/service. You have to pay/purchase for COGS Expense - things that "keeps the lights on"... For example if you are an owner of successful Hair Salon. Every girl that goes out of your store feels like a beautiful mermaid with hair so lush and shiny.. COGS - the pay ( Gross wages + Superannuation ) of your Stylist (unless you pay her, you can't have a sale) Expense - the pay of your admin and cleaners (their cost is not directly related to what you are selling WHY THIS MATTERS So you know if you are making more than enough from the Sales to cover all other expenses in the business... So you know if you can expand further So you know if you are making enough for the lifestyle you want .

18.01.2022 Switch up the thinking cap I am not going to tell you to sit around visualizing money in your hand or telling yourself it loves you, or even that you deserve it. I tried that. It did not work. Sometime ago, I stumbled on this Roman’s quote that says Do not conform to the normal pattern of thinking, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.... My thoughts about money made the difference. I made it to the other side of the fence. Freeing cash flow is like any other skill. The same way I have learned to bake I also exerted the same effort to learn how to manage my business’ finances. I have learned to zipped my credit card. I now run my own business with zero debt and I fund my business and my lifestyle with my saved up Free cash Having an income generating business is not a type of secret club that only people with expensive degrees who got good marks in maths can enter. As any other skills, the concepts are pretty simple once you get the hang of them. This is the basic principle I apply with my business. 15.01.2022 John Pearson He is a man of TAX Structures! ( HE claims, I kinda agree) What do I mean by Tax Structures, well in layman's terms, well structured companies saves lots of TAX!!!... Instead of 46-51%, a well structured Company pays 15-25% of TAX... this means if that if your company pays $460k in Tax, a properly structured company only pays $150k. That's a saving of $310k Of course this depends on your personal circumstances... if you want to know more, pm me and I will hook you up!! 12.01.2022 I won!!! Or not... Why Keeping a Scorecard is important Celebrating Melbourne Cup... I was busy chit chating with the gorgeous Solicitors and employees of No Borders Migration during Melbourne cup. Hence I did not notice, what my horse look like, nor its colour or number... As the race started, everyone was cheering for their horse.I felt the thrills and highs. The atmosphere carried me to cheer despite the fact that I am unaware if I'm betting on the winning horse. Dragged by the flow, I was also shouting at the top of my lungs!!! Obviously, as they announce the winners, I did not know if I won or not...unfortunately, I did not. My horse did not even made it to the top 5.... I realised that a lot of Business Owners have the same scenario. They don't keep a scorecard They are very busy hustling and struggling. They are very flowing with the tide. They don't know if they are winning or losing... They don't keep a Scorecard. They don't their Numbers. They don't know if if all their efforts are worth it. They don't know if they are meeting their goals... Play the Business game with a plan of winning it. They have presence in the major cities of the country and overseas... Her schedule is always full packed. So I feel privileged and honoured to get this chance...She is so brilliant but humble. Her wisdom is mind blowing..... Awestruck with inspiration here's a list of the things that resonated me... 1. It's never too late to chase your dreams. She was 38 when she started her studies to pursue her dreams 2. If you want it, find a way to pursue it. Dont stop until you arrive. No English-when she arrived in Australia.. she did odd jobs, double jobs, physical jobs. She did not stop, did not procrastinate and relentlessly ticked every goal. True enough, to date, she employs almost 40ish legal practitioners deployed in the major cities of Australia.. 3. Surround yourself with people who have reached your goals. Be inspired and trace their steps... follow them 4. Disassociate with people who brings you down. Disengage and run as fast as you can. 5. You can not serve your history and destiny. You have limited time and energy. Do not dwell in the past unless you can learn from it. 6. Once taken out, you can not put the toothpaste back into the tube...same with employees, If they decide to leave, let them go. 7. You will reap what you sow. So wisely choose what you sow. 8. Your profit is your first expense. All other else can wait 9. Work hard. Play harder. Buy yourself an LV. Treat your family to Blackbird... 10. In a hotel, always aim to stay in the Presidential suite... 11. Exercise. Do cardio. Everyday. To build a successful business you should have the mental and physical capacity. It's draining so you have to increase your energy. Building business starts way earlier than 9 am and ends way later than 5pm. It's 24/7. Your brain does not stop. Your body should be able to sustain it. 12. Do not give for the sake of giving. Give your time to train. Mentor others. Dont give fish, teach them how to fish....

To know if your business is in good health, check these indicators Asset Turnover: This formula takes your sales and divides it by your assets. A high turnover ratio translates to more efficient asset management. Inventory Turnover: This formula is your cost of sales divided by your average inventory. A high inventory turnover ratio means youre efficiently managing your inventory. Operating Expense Ratio: For this formula, take your operating expenses divided by total revenue. This measures how much you spend in order to generate revenue. In this instance, a lower ratio shows efficiency.

There was no allocation for lost sale (staff on leave can't make money) There's no allocation of Leave payable So before you are caught off guard, dont get silly willy..
