19.01.2022 The picnic day is still going ahead despite the rain. We hope to see as many of you there as possible to support Menkes and our tough little boys.

17.01.2022 November is International Menkes Awareness Month. To honour this, I am going to be sharing some information every day in order to raise awareness and understanding of this little known disease. Menkes may be rare, but when it touches your life, it doesn't feel rare at all. For the first day of November I felt it apt to share where it all began, the Menkes Foundation website, ... www.themenkesfoundation.com The Menkes Foundation was started by my dear friends, Jamie and Drew Eckman to honour their first born child, Wesley, who passed away from Menkes just weeks before his first birthday. Jamie and Drew are amazing people, who, along with their two subsequent sons, devote their lives to raising awareness, supporting families and supporting international research conferences.

07.01.2022 The picnic is still going ahead despite the weather. A small venue change is that we will be at Nepean Dam rather than Avon. It is on the same road and there will be signs. There is plenty of undercover area there.

07.01.2022 It is with a broken heart that we share the news that our beloved little man Miles left us today. He played hard, fought hard and loved hard. Menkes Disease weakened his body, but it never took his smile. Thanks buddy for the blessing of 5 years, 10 months and 1 day. We will never forget you our little soldier.

05.01.2022 We are heartbroken by the news that John and Sandra Wright's little boy Hayden has passed away suddenly yesterday. Our family sends much love and prayers to the Wright family. RIP Hayden- 19/11/2008- 08/04/13
