25.01.2022 We are pleased to announce that Paul Holley OAM will be joining us for the Festival. Paul Holley is a choral conductor, educator and motivator. His personal warmth and passion for choral music have inspired many singers to discover and develop their skills as choral musicians. Presently, Paul is the Associate Director of Voices of Birralee and conducts two ensembles within this organisation, the Birralee Blokes and Resonance of Birralee. Both of these ensembles have toured na...tionally and internationally; most recently to France for Anzac commemorations, made numerous recordings and supported community events. He is also the principal conductor of the national youth choir Gondwana Chorale that this year toured the USA. In addition to these roles, Paul is a choral director and teacher at Brisbane Girls Grammar School. He has served on both the Queensland and National Councils for ANCA and he was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia in January 2016 for his services to choral music. We are looking forward to Paul leading the Community Big Sing and the massed choir next year. Be sure to look out for more news in the coming week!

14.01.2022 We are pleased to announce Adrian Pearson will be joining us from the UK!! I live in Lyme Regis, a small town on the south coast of England, where I was born in 1953. After attending Bristol and Reading Universities, I embarked on what has proved to be a long and rewarding career in music education, teaching both in schools and privately to individuals. The young people I have worked with range in age from toddlers to young adults, and in accomplishment from beginners to tale...nted students already on their way to careers in music. Work in schools has included directing orchestras and choirs, ensembles and stage shows, festivals and religious events. I have always prioritised singing as playing a big part in the lives of youngsters in my charge an activity I regard as immensely rewarding and naturally character-forming, while requiring relatively little technical mastery or independent practice and membership of the school choir has always been my expectation of them. Besides working with groups, I have also for many years taught instrumental lessons to individuals, piano being most popular, but also recorder, ukulele, accordion and trombone as well as voice, composition and harmony. My leisure activities include performing in and conducting the Lyme Regis Town Band, playing organ and directing the choir at the parish church and leading a local folk group, The Black Velvet Band. I also enjoy walking, travel and researching family history. Bringing music, fun and young people together has been an enormously important part of my life and I am very much looking forward to contributing to the Bunbury Festival. Adrian will be directing the treble voice festival choir and we are looking forward to what Adrian will bring from the UK!

14.01.2022 Thanks to City of Bunbury for supporting our Masterclass for the upcoming Male Voice Festival in September next year. Without local support we couldn’t bring the opportunity to the South West for composers to learn from one of Australia’s leading composers
