20.01.2022 How often do I get to co-create space with like-minded people, delve into my deep creative forces, examine pre-conceptions, and witness ways-of-being (shared b...y others) that might serve me? And to have my partner and/or my kids with me on the journey in a safe community container? It's rare. Very rare. Check out the program and more information on this weekend (16-18 Oct) at https://humankindcollective.org Tickets are online here and sales will be capped. I you feel called to this weekend - don't hesitate.

19.01.2022 Circles. At the heart of all the collaborating groups' work is one thing. Circles. Circles assign value to every member, include every voice and draw out persp...ectives that aren’t always heard. There is no shape (in geometry, decision-making or community structure) more powerful, resilient, sustainable or downright beautiful. Many people coming to the weekend already understand the clarity, the nurture and the other deep values that surface when we sit 'in circle'. If you don't know this and want the experience .. this weekend might be for you. Oct 16-18 in Dwellingup https://humankindcollective.org/ An adult for the whole weekend (incl food) is $110 (camping - full toilet and shower facilities. Cheaper than staying home :)

12.01.2022 As part of the celebration of INTERNATIONAL MEN’S DAY 2020 Thursday 19 November The Honourable Roger Cook MLA (Deputy Premier; Minister for Health; Mental Health) will present to the WA Parliament a new online Directory of services supporting WA men and boys which has been developed by Men’s Health and Wellbeing WA (MHWWA) peak body for the sector. Building on many years of success with their hard copy directories The Blokes’ Book and the Mooditj Marmun Book - the new o...nline Directory is searchable and easy to use on computer or smartphone. Across Australia, the health and wellbeing statistics for males are alarming. The leading cause of death in 15 to 44-year-old Australian males is suicide. Compared to females, males have shorter life expectancy and higher burden of disease. The majority of injuries, workplace fatalities, road trauma, homelessness, jail population, children’s behaviour problems, and learning difficulties at schools happen to men and boys. Jack Beros, Chair of MHWWA, said Men are waking to the reality that it is both their right and their responsibility to seek help when it’s needed. Resources like those available through the Directory save lives and improve the quality of life not just for the men but for everyone around them. We owe it to those men who recognise when they could use a hand to make appropriate help easily accessible. We call on everyone to help us get news of the new Directory out there. We encourage media outlets to help us spread the word and aligned organisations to add the Directory link to their websites. https://www.menshealthwa.org.au/directory/ Services covered by the Directory include physical, mental and sexual health; addiction; relationships and fathering; legal support; money management; healthy living; mentoring; behaviour change; and many more. Categories have been established to assist Youth, Aboriginal, CaLD, Disability and GBTIQ groups to easily access services relevant to them. Listed services include clinical services; online resources; in-person counselling; workshops; social media chat groups; peer support, and connection groups.
