24.01.2022 A liquid biopsy can help detect traces of breast cancer in the blood. How does it work? - Tiny parts of a cancer tumour can break away and circulate within a p...atient’s bloodstream. - These tiny fragments can include DNA from the tumour, which can provide researchers with information about the cancer. - A/Prof Dobrovic’s new test will be able to detect tiny traces of cancer DNA in a blood sample, leading to earlier detection and more effective treatment options.Your support will fund research like A/Prof Dobrovic's. 18.01.2022 Just had a very successful speaking engagement at a Cancer Council Big Cuppa at out Retirement Resort. Was surprised by the support we received from the most of the residents. The number of residents that sought me out for further conversation was very encouraging. It was good practise for my next speaking engagement with the Checkyourtackle Charity in June.

11.01.2022 Just went for my CTCA scan on my heart. Told it would take 2-3 hours. In and out within 45 minutes. They had problems with my heart rate jumping between 35 - ...80. Now got to wait till the 9th for my cardiologist appointment to get the results. My moto: I’m fine till they tell me different. PeterB See more

06.01.2022 IMMUNE BOOSTING FOODS are essential in fighting viruses and diseases. Some have other immune supportive properties including ANTI-INFLAMMATORIES (like ginger an...d garlic). There are also ANTIBACTERIAL, ANTIVIRAL & ANTIFUNGAL FOODS which will also help reduce the strength of the flu, colds and infections. But not all of these actually fight viruses. A leading anti-inflammatory is Omega-3 found in fish oil and fatty fish. Another one is Turmeric which greatly cuts down on the inflammation in your body and strengthening the immune system to better help fight any disease.
