18.01.2022 Here at MENtal health we know that mental health effects everyone male and female at some point in their lives. Weather it's dealing with it themselves, or helping support a friend or family member through it. Day to day we strive to enlighten Australian males who may be struggling but aren't comfortable expressing their issues to others. We want them to know it's okay to talk #SpeakCozYourUnique. 1 in 8 men suffer from depression and 1 in five from anxiety. Mental illnesses in men KILL.. Suicide is the biggest killer of young men in Australia so PLEASE use this hashtag #menmatter and copy and post this in as many places as you are willing.. tag 5 friends to help spread awareness!!!

18.01.2022 A good short quick video on Men's Mental Health for your Monday evening! #SpeakCozYoureUnique #UnZipMensLips #TogetherTowardsZero https://youtu.be/RKFf5nZStG4

13.01.2022 "Heads up, rant about to begin. I’m not usually one to post up opinions on Facebook, and personally I love how Facebook has become a mechanism for people to express their innermost thoughts and speak their minds. Perhaps it is some of the stuff I see in the media, perhaps it is looking at some turning points in my life, or maybe it is just me wanting to speak my mind to the men of this world. Consider this my once in ten years kind of post. Masculinity is a social construct t...hat from the early years of our life is drilled into us, it surrounds us, and it controls us. Boys today grow up in a world wearing a mask, and sadly so many of these boys don’t know how to talk, act, feel, or live. With our culture’s narrow definition of masculinity are we harming our boys, men and society at large? If I were to look inside my mask feelings such as sadness, anger, loneliness, emotion, pain, frustration and tears would all be hiding. Research shows that when compared to girls, boys are more likely to be diagnosed with a behaviour disorder, prescribed stimulant medications, fail out of school, binge drink, commit a violent crime and/or take their own lives. By not learning to express our feelings, not learning to talk, and with men not learning to look after each other we are left with nothing but a broken boyhood. This is a boyhood that sees suicide as the third leading cause of death for boys, and grave and massive impacts to how they function in society as men. This great documentary just popped up on Netflix, and I think you could ALL set aside an hour to give it a look, and give it some thought. How can YOU be a man? And how can YOU change the stigma of masculinity today to ensure that both men and women can live in a safe and happy world in the future? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hc45-ptHMxo See ya'll in 10 years when I feel the need to have another gripe." - James Healey

10.01.2022 There are approximately 2,500 suicides each year. 75 per cent are by men, with an average of 6 men taking their lives every single day. Suicide is the leading cause of death for men under the age of 54. Together we can make it ZERO. #SpeakCozYoureUnique #MensBrainsGetSickToo

10.01.2022 It’s important to remember that depression and anxiety are conditions, NOT weaknesses. #SpeakCozYoureUnique #MensBrainsGetSickToo
