25.01.2022 More madness at Port Kembla!!!
23.01.2022 Join David Stavanger, Alise Blayney, and Anne-Marie Te Whiu for a free four week workshop series, co-presented by Wollongong Writers Festival, for poets with li...ved experience of mental illness. Come join this safe writing space for emerging voices with a lived experience of mental illness to express how they see the world, where these poets can define themselves through their creativity not their diagnosis, and explore by pen & page their experience of illness, institutions and recovery. Both workshops run over 4 weeks and will be co-run by experienced writing facilitators with lived mental health experience. All that attend will be invited to let their words take flight as part of the Mad Poetry Open Mic at Wollongong Writers Festival in November. There will also be online publication opportunities for some of the poets as part of the project. All mad poets welcome!
