South Western Sydney Local Health District join Deputy Commissioners Jenna-Kate Roberts and Tom Brideson Gayaa Dhuwi - Proud Spirit - Australia to help support the Commission to better understand the issues that affect the mental health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people in NSW. NSW Mental Health Commissioner, Catherine Lourey, said the appointments were vital to ensuring that Aboriginal people’s social and emotional wellbeing is a priority for mental health reform. Ms Lourey said. 20.01.2022 We're speaking with Gen Whitlam and Gabrielle Micallef about their experiences with postpartum psychosis, a diagnosis that is a less well known than other perinatal mental health issues like postpartum depression. It is a serious condition that can affect 1 to 2 people per every 1000 who give birth. Gen and Gabrielle will share their experiences with the condition earlier , including seeking help and paths to recovery.
