NOTE we regularly travel out to workplaces to run group trainings or maybe you would like to organise Sydel Weinstein / Mental Health Station to come out and run a training for your local community. [email protected] "I completed the Mental Health First Aid training course with Sydel in November this year. Sydel is a great trainer who is professional, engag...ing and has substantial experience in this area. The information was delivered in a way that was suitable for both health and non-health professionals being both practical and adaptive. A lot of training course like this can be quite dry and somewhat tiresome but this was quite the opposite. I would highly recommend Sydel’s training if you are considering doing your MHFA." - Alexandra Shepherd (Pharmacist)

08.01.2022 Our thoughts today are with our fellow Australians impacted by the current bushfires nationally. So many people are dealing with their immediate safety and prac...tical needs thanks to the incredible and selfless courage of our fire and police services, the unwavering support of other first response organisations, family, friends, neighbours and motivated people who are all rallying together in the best demonstration of human spirit. It is essential as a wider community that we are prepared and willing to seek and receive emotional support as part of recovery efforts for all affected communities over coming weeks, months and years. Social networks and community connections will remain key as things shift from response to recovery. Our large national MHFA community of Instructors and Mental Health First Aiders are ready and willing to provide supplementary support to other organisations and communities as and when needed. For now, the latest warnings and news coverage on the bushfires can be found here: ABC New South Wales and ACT - https://www.abc.net.au/news/emergency/state/nsw/ ABC Victoria - https://www.abc.net.au/news/emergency/state/vic/ ABC Queensland - https://www.abc.net.au/news/emergency/state/qld/ ABC Western Australia - https://www.abc.net.au/news/emergency/state/wa/ ABC South Australia - https://www.abc.net.au/news/emergency/state/sa/ ABC Tasmania - https://www.abc.net.au/news/emergency/state/tas/ For disaster response coordination, relief centres and movement registrations: Red Cross - https://www.redcross.org.au/
