09.01.2022 If you heard this often from a person you had a close attachment with in childhood: You’re so dramatic Stop being overly sensitive You’re so moody! Smile..., there’s no reason to be sad You should feel x You’ll most like have internalized a core message: Some is wrong with the way I feel. Some emotions are bad + I shouldn’t have them. This is the beginning of the loss of connection to the authentic self. This is when we adapt to cope and start denying, avoiding, internalizing, our emotions or we get stuck in cycles of emotional reactivity, unable to regulate our nervous systems. This also comes with many thoughts of self shaming. As adults, we have to learn how to process strong emotional states + learn to accept all of our emotions without judgement. If you’re new to this practice this looks like becoming conscious to your thought patterns + how often you’re talking yourself out of an emotion or dismissing your own emotion. You can also practice becoming aware of your own unconscious denial of other people’s emotions: it’s not a big deal or get over it What we do to self, we do to others. All emotions are healthy. All emotions are valid wanting to be witnessed without judgment, without labels, without Self shaming #selfhealers

07.01.2022 Life is full of ebbs & flows, highs & lows, ups & downs... When we learn to roll with the punches with more ease, acceptance, embracement we develop the skill to lean in and grow stronger , thankful and wiser from the experience.
