11.01.2022 "We were both computer science graduates, but look where we at- wearing scrubs, gloves and face masks. We were apprehensive about embarking on a new career, but the way Menzies designed the Certificate III in Dental Assisting made it so much easier. We are always placed into small groups. This allows us to learn from each other and develop team work skills. Everyone in the class wants to excel so we are constantly motivating one another." Studying the Certificate III in Dent...al Assisting was a leap of faith for both computer science graduates who had no prior knowledge or experience in dental health. Fortunately with the encouragement of trainers and classmates, the girls can now easily complete a cleaning, scaling and restoration procedure. Well done, Lavanya and Vasantha! :)

08.01.2022 "English as a second language did not stop us from making the best out of the Certificate III in Dental Assisting at Menzies. Our trainer, Mary, truly went out of her way to make the materials easy to digest as she knows the predicaments faced by students who do not have English as their first language, " shared Cathy Xiao Yan and Rachel Ruixue. Both girls agreed that being "hardworking" goes a long way especially for students who are new to Australia and the English language.... "Sometimes it's also important to like what you do. Having an interest in the subject on hand makes the whole learning process much easier," remarked Cathy was once an Accounting graduate. I am very thankful for all the support and help I get from my amazing classmates such as Hsing-Hsing, Aomjai and Cheena!" shared Emily Boccalatte, student of the Certificate III in Dental Assisting. "When I first started at Menzies, I struggled here and there. But right now, my self confidence has increased. You just don't want to disappoint her because she has put in so much effort in teaching. "- Nonna Ilyas and Paula Kapolitsas It was a great afternoon catching up with these two lovely dental assisting students. Paula has also shared that she has just recently scored a job as a dental assistant even though she has yet to graduate. All the best to these two young ladies, Menzies is very proud of their achievements.
