19.01.2022 This week the salon will be open for hair on all of our usual days with some exceptions to normal working hours. It is highly recommended you book in advance to secure an appt especially if you wish to have an after hours one. Due to the town still being exceptionally quiet , the salon will remain open while there is a need, once all booked appts are finished the salon will close earlier than normal. 19.01.2022 Today has been hard to say the least. Tragically we lost 2 beautiful clients last night. One of those being a friend from school who I had lost touch with after school and then reconnected with through the salon over the past couple of years. The other, being a beautiful girl i had the privelege of getting to know through the salon and having had babies just 1 day apart. I wasnt going to put anything up but every one of my clients that walk through my salon door are like family to me. Today I am hurting beyond measure but i will always cherish the laughs we had while each of you were sitting in my salon chairs. Jess and Bobbi you were apart of my MERAKI FAMILY and will be missed dearly.

18.01.2022 We have completed a COVID-19 safety plan and we are also registered as a COVID SAFE SALON. Before entering the salon all clients and staff will be required to use our digital check in code. 18.01.2022 The government has called it.. Tomorrow night we will close the doors to the salon until they allow our trade to come back to business. However, I will be able to do the quick haircuts only (30mins max) during our downtime. This will be dependant on times available so message me on here to try and sort an appt out when needed. 17.01.2022 To say I am frustrated with our government is the biggest understatement of my lifetime. Overnight they have made a decision to lift their constraints on hairdressers working through this crisis. This has put alot of us into a hard position with our business heads saying get back in there and work your businesses for your livelihoods but our hearts pulling in the other direction to keep ourselves, staff, clients safe. So in order to move forward through these challenging tim...es I have decided to remain open of a THURSDAY ONLY at this stage. (I do believe the government will be a thorn in my side and pull our services again when it suits them and the economy more to do so) These appts will be available Thursdays only and all clients must follow the following rules to keep us all safe: *Do not attend if you are unwell of any kind *Do not attend if you or someone you have been in contact with has been overseas *Do not attend if anyone in your immediate family is unwell *Do not bring an entourage to your appts. There will be no waiting area for anyone to wait for you, they will be required to wait outside *Use the hand sanitizer supplied upon arrival and you will be required to wear a mask for the duration of your appt *No drinks will be issued during your service including water so please come prepared. *No walk in appts These measures are in place to keep all of us safe - I will not budge on any of the rules so please do not try and get around any of them. 14.01.2022 An update for all of our clients - the salon will remain open for business until such times that a ban is placed on trading in non essential services. For the health and safety of everyone within our salon, I do ask the following guidelines be met. Failure to comply will result in appts being cancelled on the spot. * if you have travelled overseas or have been in physical contact with someone who has travelled internationally in the past 2 weeks, please rebook your appt. * i...f you are sick in any way or your immediate family members are sick, please rebook your appt. * to ensure we are not crowding the salon (due to the size of the salon) please refrain from bringing extra people; adults/children unless pre arranged with myself. * we will not be providing refreshments at this time so please bring a coffee or water with you for the duration of your appt. * upon arrival to the salon, every client is asked to use a hand sanitizer which is provided at the reception desk or wash there hands in the wash sink.
