25.01.2022 I love using Infographics, especially in data heavy flyers. Infographics is a collection of imagery, charts and text that communicates information at a glance. This infographic was created as part of an ebook about school age kid wellbeing and Pulse Check app. Check https://www.educatorimpact.com/ to find out more about this project. https://www.facebook.com/educatorimpact/

25.01.2022 Any shaped logo can be used in Social Media, it doesnt need to be circular, you just need to adapt it to fit. Make sure you are using your social media to promote your brand as much as your product. Your feed should look and reflect your company and not just be random images that dont tell a story.

24.01.2022 Take your logo to the next step with simple but effective animation. Logos are all about making your business memorable and eye catching... Animated logos cut through the clutter and literally bring movement to your message. Meraki Graphics is preparing a new package with your own animated logo - you will have all you need to promote your business. Stay tune!

22.01.2022 Pamela started with blue, her favourite colour for her new letterhead and business cards. Business stationery can be a great place to start when finding your brand colour palette.

22.01.2022 I love that Clarity Management Group took my advice and went for something different for their business card. I designed a few extra pieces for them to keep them going on their rebranding journey. I love working on rebrands and am excited about the end result.

19.01.2022 Tea or Coffee? While for most of people everything starts after coffee, I start after tea despite not being English. My mum used to bring me to bed a cup of tea, with a dash of milk and a straw with some water crackers. This has being my brakfast for years and while I still change every now and then I always come back to my childhood breakfast. Fun Fact, mum used to bring it soooo hot that I woul burn my pallet from the first sip. ... How do you start your day are you a tea person too? by Rumman Amin #Unsplash

18.01.2022 Good and Fast and CHEAP... I call this the "I want it all package" ... and the simple answer is NO for both the client and the designer. Good takes time (and experience).... Fast takes money and Cheap takes compromise. Thanks @cupcakedesignstudio for exposing me to this simple but effective rule... See more

14.01.2022 I am so excited to be part of the rebrand of Clarity Management Group as their Graphic Designer. It is a massive project ahead and collaborating with Kristen on this shared project has been wonderful. I cant wait to show you soon...

14.01.2022 It is super IMPORTANT that you get an eps/ai file of your new logo. If you dont get this, you wont be able to scale your designs if you need in the future, it will be hard to change colours or take elements from it. EPS/AI Files are vector orientated files and you probably wont be able to open them because they need a specific software like Adobe Illustrator to open. But this is the type of file any designer will ask for if they are creating something new for you.

13.01.2022 A JPEG (or JPG) is a file type with a white background. You might use this version of your logo as a social media profile pic or email signature. It is a flat file with no layers and not as higher resolution generally as the EPS/AI format.

13.01.2022 What do you want your logo to do... is it for social media, flyers, eBooks, print executions, business stationary. Each of these media may need slightly different versions. Your Graphic Designer should provide an easily adaptable format of your logo. This is one example of why you should get a logo package - not just one file. http://neladunato.com/blog/logo-pricing-difference/

13.01.2022 When you get time poor everything suffers and your time is precious. I lost control on how much time I was spending on projects and being a one woman business, I quickly had to find a way to manage my time and clients in a better way. A few months ago I started using @asana It is simple, cheap (Free) management tool. If your business is like mine, where you work with multiple clients at once, I highly recommend you to find a tool that gives you structure and peace of m...ind. Asana, Trello, Activecollab, Monday are some options. If you already use one, share it below!... See more

10.01.2022 It is so important that your website works on a mobile device as more than half of the traffic to your website will come from people (potential customers and clients) browsing on their phone or tablet. Here is an example of how the design and implementation of http://canopy.com.fj/ website looks on a mobile phone.

10.01.2022 Peter and Mim when I worked with an agency a few years ago. Peter needed a new set of brochures for his business. Working together again was great and there are many more projects in the pipeline for us. Is it time to refresh your brochures? reach out with a message or visit www.merakigraphics.com.au

09.01.2022 In truth, Designers also get disappointed when our clients dont fell in love with the first drafts sent of a logo. We put our passion into our work and it is our DREAM to hit the mark first time. The reality is that the first files sent are working drafts, and from there we keep designing and sharpening the designs. This is why its so important to have revisions on a logo design built into the process. The key to giving your designer feedback, is to deliver with respect and... be clear and concise. It is important to tell your graphic designer how you feel about the designs being presented, it navigates the creative to achieve the goal result. Its very unlikely that we get a logo spot on from the beginning, so think about this, we are two people working together, that have one thing in common, The desire of making a brand look amazing and we will get there. Together. It is all about collaboration. by Debby Hudson #Unsplash

09.01.2022 Even though your logo might not need a 'stacked version I like thinking about how the logo will work in any scenario. Sarah from @kataricreative wanted versatility with her logo. This is the stacked version.

09.01.2022 One of my go for inspiration tools is Pinterest, and when a client spends the time creating their own board to show it to me, BOOM! mind blowing!... When I check their board its like getting into their minds, such a pleasant feeling. I then apply my style and own ideas to what I find here. This is an example of inspiration vs copyright. Check out this easy to read blog for more info. https://medium.com//do-you-know-the-difference-between-ins... Morning Brew on #Unsplash See more

09.01.2022 When working on a new logo with a client. I always offer a few design options to choose from. I created this logo a while ago for @thewritefitco as an alternate option for her new logo.

09.01.2022 Some of the most well known companies use red as their brand colour... Coca-Cola, Netflix, Virgin. It is attention grabbing, strong, outgoing and confident.

08.01.2022 Style guides or Brand Guidelines can be as simple as this one pager I made for Clarity management group. It is the best place to start for a new or small business. As your business grows, your guidelines will too as they adapt and grow with it. Want to a massive international company's style guide? 07.01.2022 Green is an obvious colour choice for a gardening and outdoor brand. Straight up it makes you think of nature... of grass and trees and @bloomberrygardening services. It wasn't hard to choose the palette for this brand and pairing it with a charcoal grey helps the green to really pop!

07.01.2022 Customer Satisfaction Celebration Thanks @artstherapy.expression I loved working with you creating something beautiful.

07.01.2022 What does your colour choices mean, a bit of fun... or is it? It is totally fine to choose a colour for your business simply because you like it. But like anything - do your research and make sure it compliments your business. Over the next few posts I will explore some prominent logo colours and what they project to a consumer or client. ... Check out -https://grasshopper.com/resources/tools/branding-color-quiz/ to find out more.

07.01.2022 I recently worked with @themindfulmocktail on their fun and colourful logo. I love seeing how it pops on their website. It is great when different designers can collaborate together to have such a cohesive final look. Just like their mocktails... clever ingredients make a tasty result. Check out https://mindfulmocktail.com/

06.01.2022 Is it good to ask for feedback on your designs? Absolutely. Asking your friends, family or partner for feedback is a great way of having someone elses point of view. BUT, this can have strong influence on your decisions and how you feel which can be a problem if they dont like what you love. Dont lose focus that this is your brand and you are the only one that knows exactly whats behind it and where you want to take it to. Take what you feel is important from each fe...edback but make the choices you think are the right ones for your brand. Sarah Dorweiler #Unsplash See more

05.01.2022 Finding the WOW! in your design sometimes takes 2 or 3 versions. Keeping a positive mindset and working closely with your designer will get you there. Dont settle... expect WOW!

04.01.2022 *TIP* when you are asking for something from an external (or internal) agency you need to have confidence that they understand what you are asking for. My mantra when being briefed into is simple. Listening + Designing = meeting the brief and happy client.... Simple. See more

03.01.2022 The colour of both the sea and the sky, blue is used by a lot of technology companies, Dell, HP and VISA and Facebook. Do you think they are leaning on the "trust" association from the shade?

03.01.2022 Its not easy being Green... but as a logo Green is much loved Woolworths, Animal Planet, Starbucks and BP. A contradiction of companies use the colour of nature as their brand.

03.01.2022 Fresh and bright, the colour of the sun and of the fruit. Orange has been used as the brand colour for Fanta, Harley Davidson and Nikelodeon. Lots of fun with Orange.
