Tra...ffic across the George Chaffey Bridge at Mildura will also face restrictions as the NSW border closes. Mildura police said motorists entering Victoria will have to either turn left onto Seventh Street or continue on to San Mateo Avenue, with right-turns on to Seventh Street prohibited. Buronga-bound motorists will not be able to turn right from Cureton Avenue on to the George Chaffey Bridge. Other bridge closures: Tooleybuc bridge (detour to Swan Hill bridge) Nyah bridge (detour to Swan Hill bridge) Speewa Ferry (detour to Swan Hill bridge) Murrabit bridge (detour to Barham bridge) Speewa Ferry (detour via Swan Hill Bridge) Gonn Crossing (detour via Barham Bridge) Barmah Bridge (detour via Echuca Moama Bridge) NSW Police said 34 of the 54 border crossings have been prioritised into three categories (A, B, C) depending on the traffic flow, location and characteristics, while the remaining 20 crossings are tracks and trails.

04.01.2022 MILDURA BORDER INFORMATION The NSW Government is closing the border with Victoria from midnight tonight. If you wish to apply for a permit to cross the border f...rom Victoria to NSW, please go to https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19. Details on permits, special conditions for freight operations and other critical services, and provisions for residents of border regions will be available on this website soon. Mildura residents will not be able to acquire permits before the closure begins, but residents with an essential reason can still cross the border. HOWEVER, you will need to carry: Proof of identification for example, a motor car licence, rates notice etc) Documentation that validates your reason for crossing for example, a letter from your employer or confirmation of a medical appointment. Mildura Police are working with NSW Police and our local Councils to ensure that traffic delays across the George Chaffey Bridge are reduced to a minimum. Coming into Victoria from NSW, be aware of the following traffic changes: You cannot turn right at the Seventh Street round-a-bout (you can only turn left or go straight ahead). Going from Victoria into NSW, be aware of the following traffic changes: You will not be able to turn right from Cureton Avenue onto the George Chaffey Bridge.
