25.01.2022 THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO SHARED THIS POST. MILLIE HAS ADVISED THAT ALL HIRSEW HAVE BEEN SOLD. WE ARE SO HAPPY WE COUOD BE OF ASSISTANCE We have been contacted to see if we are able to take in some more horses but unfortunately we are full. Horses are $500 each. Mare and foals $500 for both. 24.01.2022 Our big boy Tiger had his teeth done yesterday. Thanks again to our wonderful dentist Clare Brown Equine Dental Services. This should help him continue to gain weight. Tiger is one of the sweetest boys we have had. He has no nasty in him whatsoever. He still has his sore eye which is being treated 3 times a day. Once it’s healed we’ll start working with Tiger to find out how sweet he really is. Keep a look out on our page for updates

24.01.2022 What a difference!! In just 10 days, 2 feeds a day and a whole lotta love Bert has had front shoes put on and the dentist came out to do his teeth. He needs to have 2 teeth removed, we are hoping once this is done that his weight will improve significantly as he will be able to chew properly. If anyone wishes to help Bert we would really appreciate donations towards the vet bill and ongoing feed costs, the details will be listed in the photos

24.01.2022 Welcome to 2021! Let's hope it is better than 2020! We hope you all had a great xmas/ new year break! We certainly did but just because we have been a little quite here doesn't mean we haven't been busy We still have horses in our care that need daily care, feeding and maintenance as well as little Cruz, our resident baby, and all the handling he requires! Sam has a busy schedule BUT we do have some exciting news!Today our Merci family grew even bigger and we have two... paint minis to add to our herd! Meet mother and son (gelding) duo, Dicko and Dandy! Dicko (purple halter) is approx 12 years old and mum, Dandy around 16. They are currently with our Merci greats, Karen, being assessed so we can find the most suitable home! 23.01.2022 Today Willy has gone to his forever home. He was a good boy to load on the float and Brooke, his new mummy, said he floated perfect. He has settled in well with his new paddock buddy but most of all Jackson is so happy that his new best mate is home with him and he gets to spend time with him and can ride him all the time. Looking forward to seeing updates of Willy and Jackson

23.01.2022 Today I spent the Arvo with berty boy, I spent a good hour just stripping his winter coat (I’m still covered in hair) some light ground work and then I took him out for a walk to explore the big wide world. Nothing fazed him what so ever, if anything he was very forward I had to keep asking him to slow down haha! He’s slowly gaining and I’m sure once his teeth are sorted (he needs some molars out) he will gain even better! But doesn’t he just look handsome -Ash

22.01.2022 Today we woke to the cutest little foal we have ever seen. Gorgeous Precious has finally had her bubba. We haven’t confirmed yet whether it’s a filly or colt. Mum and Bubba are both doing really well

Here's an update from mum Kylie taken over a few days with pics to follow: Settling in really well, thank you MERCI She is just gorgeous, so nice to her see out in the paddock. Settled in really well, enjoying hay on this beautiful sunny day... Our gorgeous Pippa Growing confident every day. It's not a race for us, slow and steady, going at Pips pace. We are really happy Pippa has now found her forever home, thanks Kylie for trusting in our processes and saving a beautiful soul We are happy she has also made some new friends

16.01.2022 Bert had his dental work done today! He had 4 troublesome teeth removed and was an absolute champ and recovered from being heavily sedated really well. Now hopefully we should see even more improvement gaining weight as he can eat comfortably. A big thank you to Clare brown equine dentist & main ridge vets for coming out!! 14.01.2022 Our poor gorgeous Tiger We had Angus, our trusty vet, out yesterday and Tiger has a cyst in his eye and blocked tear duct. He had to sedate him and numb the nerves above his eye. We are giving all the treatment he needs though to ensure he is on the mend pain free. He is such a sweetheart and he needs to be sound before going to his forever home. 12.01.2022 We are so happy with Precious, who has limited handling, how she is so trusting with us towards her little bubba who is a colt. She was fine for me to hold him and dry him down with a towel this morning after the rain. He was that comfortable he ended up falling asleep on my lap. An experience I probably won’t ever have again. We are just so in love with him and so proud how our darling little Precious is the best Mum. She’s only a baby herself at 3 years old. She really is doing a wonderful job. Here he is with Mum excited to be here on earth

Bert is not your average Thoroughbred, he was a sc...hool-master, an eventer and is now semi-retired but suitable for light riding. He has had his dental work done and is up to date with feet and worming and ready to find the perfect loving home. He is a real gentleman that will become your best mate. 07.01.2022 As many of our members know our rescue is quite often contacted asking for help or what to do regarding emaciated or neglected horses. We would love to take each and everyone into our care but unfortunately we don’t have the funds to do so. Many horses are reported to the RSPCA. Our experience and many other reputable rescues we work with feel the same about the RSPCA. We see way too often horses being reported but no action taken. Or multiple visits are done on the horses b...ut still nothing. Horses dropping dead in paddocks, not receiving the appropriate vet care. It’s a disgrace. We strongly believe there should be a Royal Commission into the RSPCA and their protection against animals. We are hoping you can help us by signing the petition and sharing with all your family and friends. The horse pictured was under RSPCA vet watch and had several reports made against the carer beforehand. Nothing happened and this is how he ended up. Farrier will be trimming his feet soon and it won’t be long and he will be looking for his forever home. He is the sweetest boy who puts his head on my shoulder every time I go near him.

02.01.2022 We received the report from Our dentist visit for our new resident Bert! The gorgeous big TB we recently took in. He needs specialist dental treatment to hav some teeth removed, something that must be done so he can maintain a healthy weight! We hope to have this procedure carried out soon and will let you know how it all goes for this smoochy gent! New arrivals, vet, farrier, dentist, etc. Our little precious due for her bub, any time. With all these things we have been doing with our babies in need, we need to raise a few $$$$$ to help us with our costs. Including our feed.
