25.01.2022 Bit of 20 year history...quickest of the quick Senior enduro rider who has quickest lap each round, then tallied up at the end of the year to become the quickest rider for the year! Joel Mccrostie holds the most amount with 6 over the last 20 years! Can Toby Bell keep it going for another 3 years to match Joel?? Can’t wait till 2021 for another great year of racing! ... Also great to see one of our early winners Phil Fish coming back to racing and competing in 2020 and winning the Veterans class!!

I had over 900 photos to share but my computer is not playing nice and at the moment I can only access about 80 from the junior lites. 23.01.2022 Was great to see riders, family and friends at The Waggon And Horses Sports Bar last night for our video and medallion presentation! Thanks to Bike Barn Hobart for the $50 gift vouchers donated for our raffle... Entries close 8pm Friday (tonight) No entries on the day. www.merc.net.au The track at Jericho is going to love this rain as it’s a pretty dry property! ... Remember to update your details on your MERC membership. Just login to your ACCOUNT and update details. Make sure your current transponder number is correct and all emergency contacts are there. Looking forward to seeing you at the track!

If you would like to collect your medallion before the end of 2020 please email or send the club a Facebook message to organise collection. They must be collected before 31st December 2020 as they are returned to be recycled

22.01.2022 After a well needed break over Christmas, the seasoned 2020 MERC committee handed the reins over to the 2021 committee at last night's meeting. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the committee members and volunteers who donated their time last year and in previous years, with special mentions going to Dave Walker, Jon Pitt & Kylie Hansson. Luckily we will still see their faces at events this year, so make sure to thank them for the huge commitment they'v...e made to the club for the last few years. Our new committee list can be found on the MERC website in the "About" section. This year we have our first ever female president, Fiona Steel! We welcome all other new committee members and thank them for stepping up and volunteering their time to a great club. Our calendar dates for the year have now been finalised and are available on our website under Events. Our first grasstrack is approaching FAST on Sunday the 21st of Feb. We will be holding our first track marking weekend on SATURDAY 13th of Feb, meeting at Ouse Shop at 8am. Many hands make light work so if we all pull together it should only take a day to mark. If you have any questions about track marking please message the page and we will put you in touch with our head track marker. Event registration is now open for the event, so please head to the Registration tab on our website to make sure your membership and AMA insurance are up to date before going to enter. Please remember that every rider must bring a flaggy, they are essential for us to run the event! A $30 no flaggy fee is payable on the day if one is not provided at sign up. We hope everyone is as excited as we are for a great year of racing!

21.01.2022 Race day is fast approaching, and the weather forecast is looking good! The track is a BRAND new enduro loop so make the most of the opportunity to ride on this fantastic property! The track caters for all levels of riders with chicken tracks around the obstacles...So why not to give it a go? Junior 65cc and 85cc riders will do a shorter loop so they are never too far away. We would love to see more junior riders! *If you have a trail bike you can also enter in your ag...e group. *check website for maximum capacity If you are a current member with merc and ama race entry is only $30! If you need memberships AMA annual license is only $60 and MERC annual is only $50 and they last for 12 months, so you can keep racing in 2021! Family options also available! 20.01.2022 help required Volunteers are needed to help finish marking our next grasstrack - this Sunday 23rd May, meet at the track 52 Eldon Road, Colebrook 8.30am at the property gate. Contact Paul Burdon 0408545467. Please support your club with a few hours of your time, it will be greatly appreciated.

20.01.2022 ....This is not a drill.... We are in need of as many hands as we can get to mark out the next Enduro event at Jericho/lower marshes! Tag all your mates! ... To make this event happen and to also make it a great track we need all riders and friends to help out getting it done. There is a massive amount of work to do with only 2 weekends to do it all you need is a set of hands. You are welcome to bring your bike but you will need a back pack to carry track marking bits and pieces. If you have a drill to put up arrows bring that, if you have a hammer to put in stakes bring that We will be meeting at the Jericho/lower marshes turn off at 9:30am Saturday and 9:30 Sunday! Please step up and help out the very over worked committee!! If you need more info please comment or message the club

Thanks to all who filled flag positions and also to those who stuck behind to help pack up the track. Looking forward to the next grasstrack in August, hopefully no dust by then. In the mean time, maybe it's time to take a walk on the dark side, or muddy... Depends which way you look at it! Either way we look forward to seeing you at our Round 3 Enduro. Camping Saturday night available at the event but please be aware the gate to the property will be locked by 9pm by the property owner. ... - Do Not Litter! Take ALL your rubbish..we need to be allowed back to properties and we need our riders and spectators to do the right thing! - Please drive slowly past the property owners house. - The track is 16km from the highway. Follow signs. If you hit the location on the merc website it will take you to google maps directions. - Junior scruitineering from 8am Senior scruitineering from 10am. With extra help today from Justin and Billy Green, Luke Moore, Will Cuthbert, Rod Taylor, Tim Bryant and Kylie Hansson who have given up their Saturday and Sunday to track mark. The club is always in need of capable riders that can be on the track for our Junior and Senior races...it’s all FREE...and you can ride ALL day If you are a CURRENT merc member for racing or official you don’t need to do anything. Just turn up Sunday 27th and show the guys in the sign up tent your current memberships (screenshot is fine) ... If you don’t have any current memberships follow the AMA and MERC links and register as a MERC sweep and an AMA assistant. 05.01.2022 Keep an eye out for this little Dude!! Nicolai "NICO" Marchant. At just 7 years old in his first race in the 50cc class, Nico carved his KTM around a sandy grasstrack course into 2nd place in his very first race fresh out of the Nippers class. Then backed it up with another second and in the last race this little legend took out the win!!! After the racing this little champ even went out and helped pack up the track before presentations. Well done NICO you're a star!!

04.01.2022 THE CLUB NEEDS YOU ! A few of our current committees members have decided to step down, and to continue this fantastic club into 2021 the MERC club relies heavily on its strong committee to organise fantastic events and keep the club running smoothly. It’s also been a great year for volunteers helping out! ... We would love to hear from you if you think you would like to have positive input into the 2021 race year and join the committee. We would really like to see some parents of Junior riders stepping forward to help the committee keep the club moving in the right direction for our up and coming riders. It’s a great committee to be involved in! We’ll be having the AGM on Saturday at the presentation night but get in touch with the club if you think you would like to be more involved in 2021
