25.01.2022 What do Freemasons wear to a Lodge meeting? In evening Lodges, Freemasons wear a black suit or dinner suit with a white shirt and black bow tie and black shoes. In summer time some people choose to remove the jacket. For new members its relaxed with new members wearing a lounge suit or neat casual. after a period of time newer members are expected to wear the black suit like the rest of the members. ... In our meetings we wear an apron and gloves. The apron is sentimental from the stonemason heritage and has different patterns or designs dependant on their role or position in the lodge.

25.01.2022 At our meeting this month we did something a little different. We were lucky enough to donate $840.00 from our lodge and secured a further grant of $1360.00 from the Freemasons Foundation Victoria to the Australian Volunteer Coast Guard Geelong Flotilla for the purchase of a new AED. Also we had the chance to recognise 140 years of service to Freemasonry presenting 3x 40 year badges to WBro Ross, WBro David and VWBro Colin and a 50 year Jewel to WBro Tom.... Congratulations to all who received awards and to the Coast Guard. We are looking forward to seeing the new AED in its new home soon!

24.01.2022 Our Lodge members are out at the North Geelong APCO Service Stations today raising money for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal in conjunction with UBC Uncle Bobs Club It’s great to see so many people giving to such a great cause! Griffin (one of our members sons) was very excited to help out and ended up filling a tin by himself!

15.01.2022 So, if I became a Freemason what's in it for me? If your looking to join Freemasonry to expand your business, political or personal interests you might as well stop here. Doing any of the above is condemned and is the opposite of the conditions of admission to Freemasonry. Benefits do vary between members. Some members enjoy the social aspect others enjoy the charity and giving, some members enjoy the theatrics and learning our ceremonies while others just like to get out of... the house! Nevertheless there is something for every man within Freemasonry and we always continue learning and becoming a better man each day. Also, with Freemasonry being interstate and across the world you can be sure to travel anywhere and meet people who embrace your presence and will welcome you into a lodge all over the globe!

02.01.2022 An update for our time collecting for the Good Friday Appeal today. We ended with a total of $1713.60. Very proud of the efforts of our members and the district with the combined total for all the sites being $14,838.45. Thank you to all our volunteers today you all should be proud. There’s still time to donate so head over to their page and follow the links!
