20.01.2022 The team met today to check out the site ....mmmm did we plan a swimming pool?! So okay a few warm days are needed to dry up our playground site. We have our plan..we are ready to go...come on Mother Nature give us a break and off we will go.... Keep eyes posted for grand opening...towards end of October.

19.01.2022 To make it easier to keep our new plants alive over summer, we have a small water tank. Thanks Liz. The water is for our playground gardens only and not suitable for drinking etc. Thanks to Kevin Ryan for delivering us some water to fill tank.... Well done Anna-marie for watering all 300 plants today.

18.01.2022 Power cable location day. Good news with a few tweaks to plan we should be all go for post holes for play elements on Friday. A great big thanks to Murray Cooper of Coopelec for his expertise in locating power cables. Thank you Murray

18.01.2022 Has anyone got a high lift 4x4 jack we could borrow Sat morning. Its for a good cause, have to jack up a piece of play equipment up to height whilst the concrete sets a bit. Shane will have to pick up tomorrow evening, will return soon as concrete goes off enough. Can someone help ?

17.01.2022 Tuesday and the path topping going on....thanks again to dedicated team if Shane, Nick, Pete, Anne , Doris , Teresa and young Nick. Who needs the gym !?

16.01.2022 WORKING BEE THIS SATURDAY As long as the rain holds off .... Tim from Woods Excavations will be bobcating around site moving rocks, soil and gravel for us in the morning.... So planting and fine tuning (ie raking) will take place from 1pm...after lunch. Bring small spades, trowels , shovels, rakes. We have about 300 lilys, grasses ,saltbushes correas etc to plant and guard. So pop down between 1 and 3 ...we would love to see you.

15.01.2022 the swimming pool has dried up... the sun is shining so a small working bee is planned for Saturday 7th October onsite. from 9am BYO - what ever you have in way of: Wheelbarrows... Rakes Shovels & Spades Crowbars 300mm Post hole digger ( he he he sorry its late !!) seriously does anyone know of anyone with one who is free this Saturday! Any other tools you may think we will need PPE - sturdy boots, gloves, hats, etc Morning tea and lunch. Dont forget water bottles. Please come along and do what you can, we need all hands on deck this month to get this project finished.

13.01.2022 Thanks to generous grants and donations for many groups...the upgrade is progressing. We have all in place..just need good weather and waiting for our generous skilled labour to be available for post holes and pathways. Keep watching for landscaping working bee and then community opening of new playground.

04.01.2022 The big toys have arrived.....

04.01.2022 Today the team worked tirelessly but with fun and laughter to dig out soft fall for paths, mark out paths , then move 7.5 m3 of crushed rock for path base. We also constructed a triple swing frame ,started on digging post holes and locating edging timbers. Well done, Jarna, Anne, Helen , Pat, Nick, Shane, AnnaMarie, Michaela , Brian, Kerrie, Peter, Mary and young Nick.

02.01.2022 Existing play element put back together (it was indeed a large Lego) between hail showers. Just a bit chilly Ready to transport back to Pioneer Park Playground. Plan is to put post holes in Friday and install elements Saturday..but the weather is not on our side But lets see what happens

01.01.2022 Please remember if you use the playground over the holidays that it is not quiet finished. We know that the swing heights need adjusting and few more seats would be good and resurfacing climbing frame needs doing. But... We had our last working bee on the 22nd Dec and just ran out of time and energy to fully complete before holidays.... For that we apologise but we will be attending to them in next months. To those who have complained maybe you might like to come along and assist at next working bee. For those who have passed on thanks we do appreciate that and are happy that the playground is being used and enjoyed.
