25.01.2022 Do you know any students needing help with editing and/or proofreading their assignments/essays? I'm here to help and prices for students start at a very reasonable $10/hour. Pass it on!

23.01.2022 I seem to have been neglecting my page for a while...well, for months really, but I do have a good excuse! There's a great big world of freelance work out there, which has kept me pretty busy :-) I have some lovely overseas clients in a variety of countries Japan, UK, US, Cyprus, Pakistan and the work is always interesting! Don't forget to mention me to anyone you know who may be looking for an editor or proofreader :-)

22.01.2022 That is THE problem.

20.01.2022 (Beautiful arrangement by my hubby, based on the original 1800's version of "Jingle Bells"!)

18.01.2022 Random fact for today. You are welcome B-)

18.01.2022 I've recently been doing a lot of writing for one of my favourite clients - Nourished Life. NL is a multi-award winning company that stocks a fantastic range of cruelty free, toxin free, sustainable products; everything from bamboo underwear to skin care to natural pet supplies. Definitely worth a look :-) http://nourishedlife.com.au/

18.01.2022 A librarian with a sense of humour

15.01.2022 If you're looking for an editor/proofreader and would like to see feedback from some of my clients, take a look here: https://www.peopleperhour.com//professional-editor/938073

15.01.2022 I have to disagree. If it's not written well, I find it very hard to appreciate the story.

13.01.2022 It's a church thing...

12.01.2022 As we near the end of 2016, I'd like to thank all the clients who have trusted me with their work and kept me so busy that I've sadly ignored my Facebook page :-p One of the great things about this job (other than being able to work in my pyjamas - yes!!) is that I'm continually learning about the world as I work. I can tell you all about Theresa May, where to go for a tropical holiday in paradise, the benefits of working for the London Stock Exchange Group, why Magnesium is an essential mineral to good health and well-being, and so much more. But I digress... The main reason for this post is to wish you all a very safe and happy Festive Season. And I know you've probably seen my little video below before, but I like it so much I'm going to use it again :-)

11.01.2022 Just another example of why "your" should never replace "you're."

11.01.2022 I've been delighted to edit and proofread the doctoral thesis of a colleague recently, which was accepted upon first submission, with no revisions required. A great result all round!

11.01.2022 Today is National Grammar Day! (Well, it is in the US anyway, so I thought I'd borrow it.) On National Grammar Day, we honour our language and its rules, which help us communicate clearly with each other. In turn, clear communication helps us understand each othera critical component of peaceful relations. :-D

08.01.2022 Good morning. :D Today is Drive Your Corvette to Work Today Day, Leap Second Time Adjustment Day, Social Media Day, and Meteor Day. Have a fantastic Friday! :D

07.01.2022 Came across this. It's amazing the difference a little word like 'also' can make to a paragraph. https://blog.hubspot.com/marketing/transition-words

07.01.2022 I hope you're all enjoying the Festive Season!

04.01.2022 The mind boggles...

02.01.2022 Wow! The things we didn't know we knew!

02.01.2022 'Nerd' has such negative connotations... I prefer 'whiz' or 'guru' :-)

01.01.2022 How can it be over 6 months since I last actually wrote something here?? Time flies when you're busy, I guess. In that time I've worked on some great websites, and I thought I'd share a couple of them with you. If you're interested in travelling to fascinating overseas countries that are relatively new on the tourism scene, check out http://www.uncovercolombia.com/en/ My only knowledge of Colombia involved violence and drugs (and no, not firsthand knowledge :-p), so did I learn a thing or two! I recommend checking out the site, if only to look at the glorious images of Colombia. :-)

01.01.2022 Very clever And bonus points for no grammar or spelling errors!!!

01.01.2022 Too busy to write much, so here's a cute meme. Enjoy
