24.01.2022 New computers are online. Bit rate is the same, encoder settings are higher, and we now have 1920x1080. Primary/Secondary failover for youtube works. Primary/Secondary failover for twitch also works. It isn't as seamless. Might have to make a second channel for failover.... OS, stream, watermarks etc will be configured properly when the redundant boot drives arrive. In the interim, hopefully no power outage or windows update rebooting both computers on the same night.

23.01.2022 We have lost "scene 1". i.e. one of the cameras is down. I have not redefined the sequence. I believe I have caught the failure mode of blank stream on twitch. YouTube appears to "drop" as expected. Looks like failure mode is OBS experiencing 100% packet loss, and then ffmpeg is sending an empty stream to twitch.... Stopping and starting streaming on OBS manually fixed it. My hypothesis is issues with broadcast packets and windows, or the switch. An update on new computers, new configuration: OS is installed on one of the machines, work has started on configuration. i.e. Still working on automation.

20.01.2022 Another outage. Caught it this time. 1555 and 1546 for primary and secondary computers. Took 16 minutes for them to reboot and management service to get up this time.

19.01.2022 Surfcam should be up. Backup switch also died, but club internet is back up. A new switch will need to be sourced at some stage. No root cause for switch failures identified at this stage.

18.01.2022 Stream is back up. New failure mode this time. We ended up with a black screen, whilst twitch thought we were still streaming. YouTube failed after 256:00:02 (H:MM:SS), not sure whether that is significant.... We had unexpected reboots this morning, at different times. Interesting, given that, it means it's presumably not from a power outage. No indication of what happened on the 24th/25th, given computers are now freshly restarted, and nothing is in logs. The boot drives have arrived. Haven't been down to install/configure new OS.

17.01.2022 Looks like it could be a >12 hour broadcast limit, at least for non test-broadcasts? Either that or the expiry vs stream end button doesn't do what I expect. (i.e. I made an unpublished stream that ended after 8 hours, and immediately expired). Will have to see what actually occurs tomorrow. No good way to schedule broadcasts automatically on facebook/youtube at the moment without making my own application. The web interface was giving me difficulty to schedule multiple stre...ams on facebook as well. Youtube is up again, experimenting whether that has a predictable limit. 17.01.2022 Outage was power delivery related. Power is restored for the moment. No estimate on a proper fix. After restoring power, our upload speed is now half, as well as intermittent dropouts. I have halved our stream as well. Cause and fix is unknown at this stage.

16.01.2022 New switches are installed. Scene 1’s camera booted up and connected fine. No root cause of camera intermittency identified, but hopefully camera stays up.... Our twitch outage on Monday was the same broadcast packet issue. Secondary streaming computer remained up, unsure if YouTube was effected.

14.01.2022 We experienced an interruption to our twitch stream between 0255 and 0355. No issues with our primary and secondary streaming computers, they are both online. YouTube has remained up.

13.01.2022 Surfcam is up again. An update on our recent outage: New failure mode this time. ... Computer froze. Typically it would reboot because of internal watchdog then start streaming again. So I guess the watchdog could be broken as well, not just the wake timers. Working on getting a replacement computer.

06.01.2022 Twitch says stream stopped at 1629 yesterday. YouTube data appears to agree. Computers say the power went out at 1556. Outage appears to be power interruption to both computers at the same time. I'm yet to automate the stream coming back up on the new computers. (A UPS is next on the list of things to get).

05.01.2022 Simultaneous outage of both streaming computers at 0100 AEDT this morning. Still waiting to see if the computers come up by themselves. Otherwise will attempt to get on site sometime this week.

05.01.2022 Update on Surfcam outage. Club internet is not working. (Presumably a cabling fault between modem and NBN Node, although it could be the modem itself) The switch powering the cameras died. It has been replaced. (I.e. internal network is now fine)
