25.01.2022 *Cancellation of cricket due to Coronavirus* Hi everyone, In light of Cricket Australia and CNSW recommendation to cancel ALL community cricket, the NJCA has de...cided to cancel all remaining Sixers Girls League, Summer Smash and remaining grand finals. So what does this mean? Results The Summer Smash and Sixers Girls Cricket League are first past the post/fun-oriented competitions. Similar to other competitions we will recognise this competition through perpetual trophies, however for season 2019/20 it will be denoted as not awarded. The U16 midweek grand final along with all grand finals that were due to be replayed this weekend are cancelled. In accordance with the Administration Handbook and Bylaw 17d, the team occupying the highest position on the ladder (and this should be the minor premiers) shall be declared major premiers. Club Forum, Representative Trials and Rep Awards night All these events have been postponed indefinitely. The current environment is constantly changing and we will endeavour to make announcements on these events as soon as possible. Following the advice from Cricket Australia and Cricket NSW, clubs running Junior and Master Blaster Centres should cancel any remaining sessions. Clubs should strongly consider cancelling or postponing end of season presentations. Season 2019/20 has seen us face some unique events. Extreme weather with heat, smoke and rain interrupting our season. The NJCA would like to thank all clubs, players and supporters for all their efforts during the current season and we look forward to working with you in the ‘off season’ as we prepare for cricket in season 2020/21. 22.01.2022 Calling all interested persons that wish to upskill themselves as a COACH Cricket NSW will be delivering a Community Coach Course in Newcastle on Monday, Febr...uary 17 and 24 at Hunter Christian School - Kerr St & Bull St, Mayfield from 6:00pm 8:15pm both evenings. A number of exciting changes have been made in relation to the Community Coach Course this season. A series of online modules have been created, across a variety of different topic areas, to compliment the 4.5 hour face to face Community Coach practical session. The Community Coach component of the Course is now entirely practical, and the theory, concepts and key messages outlined in the online modules will be brought to life in a practical way.
