19.01.2022 Vale Hannah Sowry, 2002-2020. The community of Merici College; staff, students, families and in particular the Class of 2020 mourn the death of Year 12 student, Hannah Sowry. Hannah joined the Merici Community in Year 8 when the family returned to Canberra from overseas. She was a member of Tullow House and lived up to the House Motto of strength and gentleness. The Merici College community wish her peace in God’s loving embrace and will continue to keep her family in our prayers.

18.01.2022 Merici College is excited to be launching a mentoring program to help our senior students as they adjust to the remote learning situation. A call went out to our alumni who graduated between 2012 and 2018, asking for volunteers. We are so proud and grateful that over 150 recent graduates have responded in just two days. During this time of physical distance, it's important for us all to stay socially and academically connected. Every single senior student at Merici will be assigned a former student who will work with them throughout Term 2. So happy to see our alumni with #mericipride!

One her passions was tennis (we will be dedicati...ng the tennis courts in her honour). Further information regarding her funeral will be communicated in the coming days. Eternal rest, grant unto her O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God; rest in peace. Amen

05.01.2022 Each year at Merici College, many of our students such as our Angela's Angels (Merici Youth Ministry), Junior Drama, Student Leaders and Dance present a powerful Easter liturgy to our community, reflecting on the significance of Jesus' life, death and resurrection through important events in Holy Week, including the Stations of the Cross. In our world today there is much suffering and we focus on Easter as a period of encouragement and hope during these uncertain times. Our community also comes together to celebrate our belief in the divine power of Jesus and the hope that loss leads to something new. We have reflected on Easter in past years, and would like to share with you these photos. We wish our community a very Holy and safe Easter. Take care and stay safe.
