14.01.2022 Masseter results Treating this area can not only help aesthetic goals but also give relief to those that suffer bruxism or jaw clenching and TMJ This treatment is quick easy and gives amazing results. The way we achieve the slimming is by relaxing the masseter muscle by using a few small injections of antiwrinkle treatment. Clients can expect the shape of their face to change from being quite square into being a more desirable love heart shape... We are using the same treatment that we use for our lines but for a different purpose. The way this treatment works for is it turns off our signal telling the muscle to contract. In turn we can’t physically contract say our frown area which caused a wrinkle in the skin. In this case we are relaxing the masseter (clenching) muscle and because it cannot physically clench as hard it shrinks or atrophies. If you think of how your muscles shrink when you don’t visit the gym for a while - this is much like what is happening with a masseter treatment. Retreatment of this area varies from person to person, some require a small top up dose two weeks after, some clients need not treat for 6 months as you do train yourself not to use this muscle. She was also wanting to freshen up her lips with a result which doesn’t project the lip. The tenting technique is perfect for this as it lifts the lip rather than projecting it ... By restoring volume to her mid cheek and a little tenting technique to her lips we managed to achieve this beautiful result which will settle nicely over the next two weeks
