25.01.2022 Dear Meridian dancers, Due to the current circumstances relating to the Covid-19 virus and necessary actions to prevent its spread it is important to stay calm and have updated information from reliable sources.( link below) Meridian dance center open as usual for classes and private lessons. No social classes will be running till futher notice. Health advice for our schools and work places from our authorities ouline below:... The best way to protect yourself from COVID-19 is the same way you would protect yourself from catching flu or other respiratory illnesses. 1. Wash your hands Clean your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water, or use an alcohol-based sanitiser with at least 60% alcohol. 2. Cough etiquette Cover your sneeze or cough with your elbow or with a tissue (and dispose of it immediately). Avoid close contact with people who are ill. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. 3. Stay home if you are sick If your child is unwell with a respiratory illness they should remain at home until symptoms clear up. In addition to that we would like to ask our students: - all our dancers to wash their hand before and after each class. - let us know by email or phone if you have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or get in closed contact with someone who has been confirmed to have COVID-19. Meridian dance taking the wellbeing of our community very seriously and we will follow the advice of a health authorities to adjust the ways we running our dance studio. -We will desinfect doors and other areas people use before and after classes. -We encourage everyone brings their own drink bottles. -All the classes will run with no phisical contact , except if you come with your partner and choose to dance together yourself. - there will be no competition for the next two month Thank you for your understanding, Please stay safe and keep enjoying dancing and life!!! 24.01.2022 Dear Meridian dance families, As many businesses reopening now and some restrictions lifted now the important question for us when can we open the doors of our studio. We have been monitoring updates from our NSW Government to make sure that we follow their guidelines. Today we have recieved an update from DSA (Dance Sport Australia). They have collected available information about proposed 3 stages to lift the restriction. It is different for different state. In NSW we stil...l do not have the date when we allawed to open the doors to our dancers. We hope it will be soon as schools and restaurants back as other businesses. 19.01.2022 FATD competition on Sunday 24th! Our team had 5 new dancers! What a great job from all of them, so very proud of each dancer! Great team work and support allowed all dancers enjoy their dancing even more and had fun off the floor :) Thank you Daniel and Isabella for partnering our dancers ,Pat for coming to help our first timers and cheer all our dancers and all our beautiful parents for all the support you were giving not just your child but all our dancers. Congratulations to organizes! Great opportunity for beginners get a chance to compete and experienced dancers can have a go before Australian Championship in 2 weeks.

Congratulations!!! 3rd places - jive and tango 4th places - samba, rumba, foxtrot, Quickstep 5th place - waltz 7th place - cha cha... Under 16 teacher student events - 3 rounds in both ballroom and latin. Very strong dancing this year from competitors! We made finals in 7events out of 8( 7th place - only 6 in final) Way to go ! 13.01.2022 Due to the Corona Virus situation, We have taken the decision to suspend all Classes, Socials and Private lessons until further notice. Effective immediately. We will provide our kids classes with online version of our lessons to finish the term. (More information will be sent by email to all our kids and teens students this week) During this period, the safety of our patrons, dance class attendees, dancers, students and staff is our utmost priority. 10.01.2022 Adults classes are back from 23rd of June. Please read the post about new ways we are running our classes. We are very excited to open our doors and welcome our existing and new students! From June 23rd we will resume our classes and private lessons with some changes in a timetable and attending policies. At present for Adults classes booking open for first 4 weeks classes( book online) and private lessons(contact Natalia 0434906162) As we can have limited amount of people... in the class it is important to book your spot on our website. http://meridiandance.com.au/timetable/ You need to go to timetable and following enrol link regester yourself in our system ( please note you will be customer - who is responsible for payments and student if you coming yourself, or if more people coming from the same family you can nominate customer ( responsible for payments) and regester 2 or more students( who is attending lessons). Price is $80 for 4 lessons. Invoice will be emailed to you after registration. New timetable for next 4 weeks starting from 23.06.20 Adult beginners: Tuesday and Thursday 7.30pm Adult interm/adv: Tuesday 8.30pm We implementing all requirements from government to make sure we offer safe place to dance. All students in classes and private lessons will be dancing solo with 1.5 m distancing, excluding people from the same household. Hand sanitizer will be provided for all to use when entering, lessons will be run for 55min so that people can leave the studio before next class start ( please come on time or 5 min before, not in advance). Congratulations!! 2nd Ballroom B Grade Semifinalists in open Ballroom and Latin. 11th in Adult 10 Dance ( Ballroom plus Latin)
