23.01.2022 What a day to be in paradise! We could never tire of the Far North Queensland sunshine, not when we're near the Meridian pool at least Things are getting steamy here in the tropics - it's the best time to get out and explore fresh water swimming holes. Where do you recommend?

22.01.2022 It's a place nobody needs persuading to visit - Port Douglas in Tropical North Queensland. Fill up the getaway schedule with places and experiences that will change your life for the better Even if you've visited in the past, there's always something new to try!

21.01.2022 Oh, to be lounging by the pool in Far North Queensland! Who wishes they were here? As we're starting to feel the heat rise across the state, we'll all be chasing that rejuvenating feeling of swimming Whether it's in the pool, at the beach, or in FNQ's pristine creeks - it's all too good to refuse

21.01.2022 Want to get to know the flora and fauna of FNQ? Wildlife Habitat Port Douglas is the place for you! Stroll amongst the greenery to meet all the animals of the tropics - from crocodiles to kangaroos! It's a great place for the kids and there's something for everyone to love @racheeymary

20.01.2022 You've done it again, #FourMileBeach. This spot is enough to blow your socks off, so make sure to step foot on this sand at any chance you get You'll be treated to this view when you take a stroll up the stairs - it's well worth the effort! We're sure there are not many who disagree @lockstockandtravel

20.01.2022 "Meridian Magic: Just spent the most relaxing vacation at this amazing ADULTS ONLY resort. Perfectly situated a few minutes walk to 4 Mile Beach and Macrossan St This resort is a quiet oasis in what can be a very busy town. Stayed in the 1 Bedroom Apartment and had a lounge area, full kitchen and fridge as well as a large balcony area and bedroom. Plenty of room to relax in without feeling cramped The pool area is fantastic with pl...enty of space to lounge around and an outside spa that is actually warm We stayed for a few days before travelling up to the Daintree and were going to look elsewhere for accommodation on our return but nothing we looked at was as good The hosts John and Sue are awesome and will do anything to help make your stay the best. If we make it back to Pt Douglas again we will be staying here again" Port Douglas Meridian See more

14.01.2022 Planning a holiday is exciting - but there's always pressure to find the perfect place to make positive memories. If you love the sunshine and outdoors but don't want to compromise on fantastic eateries and tours, Port Douglas is your #1 option Escape to the tropics - you'll love it here! #TNQ

12.01.2022 Who recognises this swing? Extra points if you drop the name of the beach in the comments! Your hint... it's a damn good place to be Although when you're in the tropics, that hint hardly narrows it down (PS. @roadiewithus please don't give it away!)

11.01.2022 Port Douglas is always happy to welcome a new kid to the block... especially when their cocktails look like this! Feast your eyes & bellies at Maman on Grant Street - this place is an absolute treat. Try the Story Time cocktail with egg white, triple sec, Wolf Lane Gin, rose + citrus

09.01.2022 What a delight it is to exist in Explore Tropical North Queensland Fill your days with adventures & sunshine followed by indulgence & relaxation... Port Douglas really is the best holiday location - if we do say so ourselves! Have you had the chance to holiday up north yet?

08.01.2022 Learn with @doddynudo about this sacred part of the Daintree... "The Gugu-Yalanji people (Aboriginal Australian people originating from the rainforest regions of Far North Queensland) have a tribal belief that Thornton Beach is a place which can stimulate fertility. It was once the practice for the young women of the tribe to spend time on this beach before they went to Struck Island to receive their marks of womanhood and marriageability."

04.01.2022 Port Douglas Meridian - Guest Review "Relaxation heaven - We spent 6 nights at Meridian. This accommodation is a boutique hotel one block back from Macrossan St. Sue & John are great managers, very friendly & helpful with suggestions for trips to the reef etc. Best of all it is private, quiet & they have a policy of no one under the age of 16 - so perfect for couples. The pool area is very relaxing, with a shared BBQ, plenty of lounges & umbrellas. We stayed in a one-bedroom apartment on level 3 overlooking the pool, which was well appointed & very comfortable. The hotel was very well organised with COVID-19 requirements. Many thanks to Sue & John for a great stay."

03.01.2022 How perfect is the market scene in Far North Queensland? it's always something to look forward to when the weekends are approaching - check out the infamous Port Douglas Sunday Markets or the gorgeous array of stores in Mossman on Saturday There's nothing more divine @angeles_wanderlust
