25.01.2022 Merimbula Aircraft Maintenance is now host to a Skycam Network weather camera! The link is now live and the photo updates approximately every 5 minutes, with the METAR at the bottom of the screen updated every 30 minutes. There is also other ERSA/BOM/radar weather information available, all on the one page. The camera is set up facing South from our hangar, giving you a view of the windsock (and any nasty weather that may be on it's way up the coast!). An added bonus is that ...this is also available to view on the OzRunways app too. Perfect for your weekend fly-in to Merimbula! Visit http://www.merimbula.skycam.net.au/ and check out the other airports getting on board with the Skycam Network too. Happy Flying!

23.01.2022 Our maintenance team are at the Southcoast Seaplanes Hangar this week, maintaining a classic 1958 beaver seaplane that operates off Sydney harbour. 1958 was a pretty good year wasn't it Rex??

23.01.2022 Four weeks until our Women's Aircraft Maintenance day! Calling all aviatrixes! (PS. our local pub advertises itself as a Husband Daycare if you need somewhere to leave him ) Hope to see you there! #girlpower

23.01.2022 The crew from Merimbula Aircraft Maintenance visited William Creek for their inaugural Fly In this weekend ..not often you'd see aircraft lining the Oodnadatta Track into town. Well done to the organisers ... was a great weekend!#WilliamCreekFlyIn #WrightsAir #flywmc2018

22.01.2022 You might have met Dane at the hangar .... he helps keep the grass down and most importantly, is very good at patting Kobi & Luna. We've just made a donation to Danes fundraising efforts for cancer research .... thought you might like to get behind him as well.

20.01.2022 Rex and Pete have been hard at work in Moruya to remove the engine out of this Beaver from Sydney Seaplanes (Luna gave a helping paw too). Tonight the engine is finally off and in its box to be sent away - reckon the boys can have the rest of the night off!

19.01.2022 This is the local news article from last year's event, but it's still applicable! We're holding our next women's aircraft maintenance day on 20th January 2018. Please share with any women involved or interested in aviation!

18.01.2022 What an excellent turnout for our 2018 Women's Aircraft Maintenance Day yesterday! We had 26 attendees with visitors from all over the place including Bendigo, Lilydale, Canberra, and a few locals too. Rex did an excellent job of sharing his wisdom and all the attendees had plenty of questions to have answered. The main themes of the day were taking control of the maintenance of your aircraft, knowing the aircraft you're flying, how to pick up the early signs of problems an...d how to stay on top of preventative maintenance. A very big thank you to everyone who came along and everyone who helped make the day happen. We hope that you all enjoyed your visit to Merimbula and learned something new, and we hope to host another Women's Aircraft Maintenance Day again next year! Blue skies and tailwinds

16.01.2022 Our Women's Aircraft Maintenance day is this weekend! The weather is looking good so far and we're excited to have you here - if you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us. Doors open from 9am with our first class from 10:30am. See you aviatrixes on Saturday!

06.01.2022 Attention Cessna aircraft owners, operators, and maintainers! Feel like helping me out with my Masters Research Project? I’m researching the impact of the Cessn...a SIDs program on Australia’s GA industry and would greatly appreciate a few minutes of your time to get your feedback and opinions. If you’re interested, please follow this link to go to the survey - it’s only 20 questions long and should only take about 10 minutes to complete. I’ll be keeping it open for the next 2 weeks so please feel free to share it around to anyone else you think might be able to help. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Thank you in advance and happy aviating! See more

05.01.2022 Desperate times call for flexible plans. Rell’s 60th birthday dinner with family was booked for tonight at Wheelers Restaurant near Merimbula, 120kms away, but ...has been cancelled. A cake was ordered a week ago and was beautifully created but with dinner cancelled a mercy dash was launched by Yalcowinna International Airways to rescue the cake. The loverly staff at Wheelers helped pack the cake, even as their jobs were looking insecure. Licensed Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineers at at Merimbula Aircraft Maintenance rendered assistance with aviation grade packaging to keep the cake from melting whilst a seat was removed to fit the fragile cargo safely on board. The turbulent flight and a bush track from the airport provided more tense moments but the the cake was finally delivered. A birthday never to be forgotten...happy birthday Rell!!!! See more

01.01.2022 Mobile LAME service - final pre- test flight inspection on a newly finished Skyranger. Had the best of both worlds ... motorbikes and aircraft. A great excuse to get out for a ride to Bombala via Mt Darragh.
