05.01.2022 Welcome to the Unit 2 @ Beach Haven FB page! We are located at 2/5 Calendo Court, Merimbula, on the beautiful New South Wales South Coast. This part of the coast has so many sights to see, experiences to enjoy aswell as some great food to taste. The beaches here make us very spoilt for choice. For young families, who just want to paddle in the shallows, Spencer Park and Mitchies Jetty are generally sheltered and calm waters. But if you are looking for waves for your surfboar...d, windsurfer or boogie boards, then Main Beach, Short Point and Bar Beach are definitely what you are looking for. If you don’t mind getting in the car you can always head off to Tura Beach or Pambula Beach, both under 10kms away and offering stunning beaches with plenty of waves or rock pools to explore. Merimbula is also a great destination for catching a feed of fresh fish. If you have a boat or kayak then there are plenty of flathead in the lake, aswell as prawns at the right times throughout the year. If you are a bit more adventurous and want to head out through the Bar then there are all your usual varieties of fish to chase, including snapper, whiting, squid, king fish and many, many more! No boat? Don’t stress, you can always try your luck throwing in a line off many of the little wharfs or jetties in the Fishpen area or even off the Merimbula Wharf. There is also many National Parks surrounding Merimbula, with a variety of bush walks leading you to some beautiful destinations, including swimming holes, waterfalls, beaches or maybe a lighthouse!
