20.01.2022 A huge congratulations to our President Jason Raeck. To all our Diggers family this man puts his heart, spare time and soul into our club and players each year. He does everything he can to make our club a home for all. He opened our club for the evacuees during our fire dilemma. He makes sure we are all covid safe during our games. He is always there to listen to make our club bigger and better. Congatulations Jason for your acknowledgement in our community rewarded with the SCAFL Volunteer of the year.. You deserve this more than anyone. We appreciate you.

19.01.2022 Junior Training this week... At this stage Training is on as per normal for all grades except for U15s who will have Tuesday night off. With the incoming weather we will make a call on Thursday night training as soon as we can.

14.01.2022 Game times for this week There have been a few changes by the league for this weeks games, most notably is the change to 17s on Friday Night and Youth Girls to Saturday. Also we will be having an Auskick match at half time, please chat to your Auskick coach for more details as we get closer.... Junior Grades try and be there at least 30mins before the start time. 13.01.2022 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION RESULTS ARE IN.. .. and it’s not Trump.. Introducing the Diggers 2021 President & Vice President for the 4th year in a row.. President - Jason Raeck ... Vice President - Richard Janson Jason would like to thank everyone involved in the 2020 Diggers FC in one tough and character building year. Jason looks forward to leading the Club again in 2021 with a strong committee, passionate supporters, committed players and a valuable pool of volunteers. 11.01.2022 Grand Final Ticketing and Game Times Hi all, First of all best of luck to all grades in the Grand Final!!... Tickets will be for sale online again to comply with Covid requirements, they can be purchased at the link below: https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/2020-afl-sapphire-coast-fin Important: This link will be active from midday today, you will not be able to purchase beforehand. Tickets are also limited again so get in quick. As always If anyone is having difficulties attending due to costs etc please contact me privately and we can work something out. Please be advised that Covid requirements are still in place and that there is no Alcohol to be brought into the venue. Security will be present and inspections will be done at the gate on arrival and any alcohol will be confiscated. There is zero tolerance on either point, failure to comply will result in being asked to leave. Player ticketing info: Juniors: U12s: 9:45am U14s: 11:00am The club has pre-processed tickets for all players and coaches for the day. Please note though that anyone accompanying them (Parents, siblings, family, friends etc) MUST STILL purchase a ticket themselves at the link above. Tickets will be sent home with players tonight at training and Thursday night training. If your child isn't attending please let your coach know so we can organise something. Seniors: Senior Mens: 5:30pm The same applies with a few minor differences, I will speak to you at training. Finally, we would like to congratulate Harry and Walter Blewitt on their achievements in winning the League Best and Fairest for their respective grades, I cant remember the last time 2 brothers won the same year!! 06.01.2022 Hi all, Just a reminder that the AGM will be held on Monday the 2nd of November from 6pm at the club rooms. All positions are open on the committee so if you would like to get involved we would love to see as many as possible there. Volunteers are the beating heart of any sporting club, and coming off a pretty tough year we need all the help we can get. Now is your chance to get involved and make a lasting difference.... Also Keep an eye out over the next little while for a wrap up of the year and some announcements for the senior grades. Look forward to seeing you all there.
