17.01.2022 Trying to gauge interest in flying as a group to Wings over Illawarra airshow on Saturday 4th or Sunday 5th of May. Due to it finishing at 5:30pm, I was also thinking about an overnight in Wollongong so everyone can fly in the daylight. Tickets are $60 for a day pass as well as flight costs. Hope we can fill all the planes that are going with student pilots or people just interested in going for a look. Please contact me here or on 0410208111 if interested. 14.01.2022 Huge effort from Ian this week has seen him go solo in just 4 days. After a few lessons several years ago, Ian turned up for an intense period of training. Unfortunately the weather has been against us with turbulence and gusty wind conditions. Undeterred Ian flew in challenging conditions to complete training required for solo flight. Some calmer conditions this morning allowed Ian to take to the air alone! Huge congratulations on the huge effort and achievement this week.

13.01.2022 Guys I know the radio has been a pain in IFN with all the static!! A quick trip to Sydney fixed that. Also got a chance to do a flight review for Glenn, legal again. Alan has also been busy putting a new interior into the Tomahawk, fixing all the little issues. Thanks Alan!... Both planes all ready to go!!

13.01.2022 CONFIRMED DATES FOR 2022 CLASSES. (planned to coincide with YMER impending 6 week runway closure ) Class 1. Feb 7th -12th inclusive RPL Class 2. Feb 21-27th inclusive PPL.... NOTE PPL class only open to RPL licenced pilots who have completed their RPL theory exam within the previous 12 months. If your RPL Theory pass falls outside that scope you will most likely need to attend parts of the the RPL class for revision. Alternatively if you feel quite current with basic theory you can sit a RPL practise exam prior to to enrollment. Bookings and deposit essential prior to Jan 24th. 05.12.2021 With the easing of Covid 19 restrictions we have now been able to set a date for commencement of the RPL theory class. This is also an opportune time, whilst we are all restricted with flights due to runway works, to get that exam out of the way. Then you all will be ready to concentrate on the fun side (flying only) when the runway re opens ! The class is scheduled for Monday 15th November. This is a six day full time course covering all the CASA RPL theory subjects require...d for your license and includes practice exams. For those wishing to continue on to PPL we are hoping to schedule that course shortly after. These will be the only courses offered now until 2022. COURSE DETAILS. Dates: Monday 15th November - Saturday 20th November inclusive. Times : Daily 0830 -1630. Materials required: Bob Tait RPL/PPL study guide vol 1. Calculator, note pads, pens etc. Course cost: $440 - morning and afternoon teas included. Class numbers: Restricted to 6 students to ensure personalised instruction.
