Drawing and Painting to music allows children to interpret and process sensory information and to take ownership of the music by creating their own impressions. 17.01.2022 I know I have been very quiet lately. But Im pleased to announce.... One of our piano students from Rokeby has scored A - Honors for her very first AMEB preliminary piano exam! Miss K is only 10 years old. So excited for her. Yay!! I love it when my students achieved their musical goals! #merismusicschool2019 #ourfuturemusicansinthemaking!... 17.01.2022 Meris Music School will be introducing 3 new exciting Saturday morning next term 4. ** 9.00am -9.45am Little Horsey Singing & Music Program for tots - Early Childhood Music Program - Aimed at children from the ages of approximately 0-4 years of age. Based on the Musical Child Method of music education and is designed to introduce children to the joys of classical music through singing, percussion, dancing and stories. Group classes have a maximum of 8 children per class... each lesson 45 mins. ** 10.00am - 10.45am Little Musicians for 5 - 7 years old provide an opportunity for children to try instruments from different instrument families (keyboard, recorder, violin and percussion) and allow the children to develop a wide variety of musical skills through songs and musical games. In the class, children will build a strong foundation of musical understanding through written, visual and aural methods. This will include introductions to musical terminology and the relevant definition, as well as applying these theoretical understandings into theory. ** 11.00am - 11.45am Little Voices for 5 - 7 years old Children learn the skills needed to sing in a choir in a supportive, encouraging group-learning environment. Building on the skills and experiences, this level-three program includes creating, listening, and moving to music, as well as developing musical literacy skills in a fun and holistic way. They are the most beautiful and inspiring young people to be around! May they continue to grow in their musical journey!

12.01.2022 And thats a wrap for 2019! I finished up for the year. I would just like to say a huge thank you to all my wonderful students and their parents for your on-going support through 2019. It has been an absolute pleasure getting to know you and help you achieve your musical goals! We had 2 clarinets, one trumpet and one piano students all sat for their AMEB exams in Warragul in November and early December. They have all passed with great results. Well done! You all deserve... a well earned break. I hope everyone has a wonderful, safe Christmas and I look forward to seeing you all in the new year! Meri xx PS....have you entered our latest competition?
