24.01.2022 I'd never worn my medals; they were left there in the draw, so when I finally took them out, it had been twenty years or more. My daughter saw me take them out, and asked me what they're for. I looked at her and calmly said, "They're a reminder of a war." ... They remind me of the mates I had, who never made it back; Who died in a stinking paddy field, or on a jungle track. They remind me of the troubles, and the hardships we went thru. 12.01.2022 #repostsharefromaanother amazing tech This is a post of what you need to know about the nail industry, a warning for you if you don't go to the shops and if you do. No techs are posting on their pages because they are scared it's bad for business, but I'm sick of seeing other nail techs shut down Hey guys just a little heads up that most home salons will be putting their prices up if they haven't already. It's about $5 or $10 depending on what they charge now. So most ho...me technicians don't charge enough as it is, next time your getting your nails done, pay attention to all the products she uses, the time she takes and how much she will end up earning an hour and ask yourself if you would work for that. The time they take is good, if they take longer then what you think be grateful, they are taking time and care, this service is not a 40 min service. And I'm sure if your tech could go faster and earn more she would. Nails 20 years ago we're just French or colour for $40 now people are getting long, fun shapes with nail art for bugger all. And we all know things cost more over time, not less. Home salons are trying to stay the PRICES of shops who use MMA acrylic and other cheap imported products bought in bulk, our industry is not regulated so they can use what ever they want. And it's resulting in allergic reactions from over exposure, chemical burns and so much more. Unfortunately this has really come about because all our suppliers put their prices up at the start of the year and we can't absorb the cost. It's a major discussion in the tech groups atm. And a lot of techs are scared to lose clients over $5-$10 The profit techs make is very low, if any at all as most actually don’t make profit at all They do it because they love it, they love their clients and maybe they can't work else where. I'm doing this post to educate everyone on what is happening in our industry and if anyone is still doubting and wants to see an invoice of how much the products cost I'm happy to share. Good nail technicians are closing down everywhere because everyone wants a bargin from the shops. Please help support the industry that supports you. The nail LADIES that talk to you about your life problems and doesn't just say, pick colour. That take time and care to look after your nails so you can continue to get them. Fungal (green nail) is more common then you think. I have seen my fair share from new clients who go to the shops. So support your nail lady and encourage the extra $5-$10. It's only $2.50-$3.33 a week or $0.83-$1.66 a week depending on when you get your infills. Share her page, we don't have footpaths that get us clients. We have to find them ourselves. Recommending us or sharing our page is so helpful, we can only reach so far ourselves. Thank you for reading, thank you for taking this information onboard.
