20.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATES At this stage, we are currently trading as usual and appointments are going ahead as scheduled. We always have a high standard of infection control, but during such times we have also increased the frequency of cleaning and all surfaces are disinfected throughout the day with medical grade disinfectant to ensure everyone’s safety. Hand sanitizer is available at reception and we ask ALL clients to use it upon entering and leaving the surgery. As staff, we ar...e always committed to vigorous hand hygiene in between each patient. We encourage you to bring your own water bottle and only disposable cups will be supplied to patients. TO KEEP ALL OUR CLIENTS AND COMMUNITY SAFE: Please DO NOT attend the clinic if you are feeling unwell at all or experiencing flu like symptoms, have a fever, cough, body aches, sore throat etc. please call the clinic on (07) 5629 7818 and we will happily reschedule your appointment to a time where you are recovered. Please DO NOT attend the clinic if you have been overseas in the last 14-days OR have been in close contact with someone that has. 16.01.2022 COVID-19 CHANGES TO OUR OPERATIONS. Mermaid Smiles is committed to ensuring the ongoing health and safety of all of our staff and patients. During this time, we need to consider obligations to our community and do what we can to limit the impact of COVID-19 spreading. With the number of increasing rates of COVID-19 cases, we have come to the decision that we will need to implement some major changes to our day-to-day operations and follow the instruction of the Australian Den...tal Association to limit the spread of this virus. From Monday 30th March 2020, we will be limiting the number of appointments and patients we take on, and will be ONLY be scheduling patients considered as ‘emergency’: - Pain - Swelling - Symptomatic tooth fractures - Uncontrolled bleeding This will be a service we will offer to both existing and new patients. Our regular practice contact number 07 56297817 and email ([email protected]) will be operational, but we do appreciate your patience if there is a slight delay in response during this time. We will maintain the highest level of infection control during this time (as we always practice) but may also implement screening methods prior to treatment of patients (temp checks etc.) to eliminate any obvious risk factors to our team and the wider community. We hope to return to normal operations as soon as possible, but we are committed to doing what we can during this unforeseen time. 06.01.2022 The team at Mermaid Smiles are thrilled to announce that the Government restrictions have been reduced to Level 2, which means we are able to recommence some dental treatments. We will, as always, be continuing to operate under strict hygiene standards with the highest level of infection control to protect our patients, staff and the broader community. Some treatments we are able to do include:...
