22.01.2022 Thank you to all the wonderful people who came and pulled the garden back into shape yesterday!! Hot day but so rewarding and fun. Even our fury friend helped - sort of. So great to meet new neighbors too! I know this is going to be a wonderful journey of building a fabulous community garden. We'd love you to join us. 15.01.2022 We are so excited to be starting (or re-starting) a gardening group! New things have been happening at the Community House while we have been working from home. We have new rain water tanks, new front fence and soon a covered deck out the back where i know we will be sharing stories and laughter soon! With all the new additions to the House we need lots of help to get the garden thriving once again. 14.01.2022 Mernda Community House hosted its first ever virtual Multicultural Neighbourhood Dinner on Saturday. Members from our Mernda/Doreen community gathered together via Zoom to meet others in the neighbourhood and watch amazing performances while enjoying home delivered meals from local restaurants. We are delighted by the overwhelmingly positive response from the participants and hope to host similar events in the future. 12.01.2022 Exciting news today for communities of 3754! Last week the Minister for Multicultural Affairs Ros Spence MP announced a grant $110,000 to help us extend Mernda Community House. It’s only two years since we received funding to establish Mernda Community House and it’s already a thriving hub of community activity and connection. The new space will be a great resource for the community.. a space to meet, learn, connect and cook!
