11.01.2022 Spring is such a great time of year - the finches have been MIA from the farm for a few years during the drought. We are so happy to see them making a return this year! Although, I think the ugly duckling story could be changed to the 'ugly finch-ling" - these little guys are not much to look at compared to mum and dad.

10.01.2022 We've had a tough week with our sheep. We lost 5 lambs and 2 ewes to wild dog attacks earlier in the week which was very distressing for us all. We also have 2 ewes in the hospital pen for their injuries. But at the end of the week we have a new baby to cheer us up. Fingers crossed we can keep this little guy safe!

10.01.2022 We seem to have a plague of these butterflies around this year - much prefer these to the grasshoppers last year (although there's plenty of them too). Anyone else noticed a huge amount of butterflies around?

07.01.2022 Can't get enough of these cute little ones! Our next season "spring" lambs - shh don't tell them it's winter. These are purebred Australian Whites - first time having these on our farm. Australian Whites have natural marbling, a lower melting point than other sheep breeds and are a great source of Omega-3. We have the Wagyu of pork so we thought it was only natural to get the wagyu of sheep as well! #australianwhitesheep #australianwhite #merrifieldfarm #grassfedlamb
