24.01.2022 Good Afternoon Members of Merrimac Football Club Sunday, 1 March is the Welcome to Merrimac 2015. During the event there will be training for our players, introduction to the coaches, a session for parents and an opportunity to finalise player payments and collect the playing kit. It had been our desire to provide parents with an earlier opportunity to finalise payment/kit collection, however, the weather has intervened and delayed the start to the season.... On Sunday we will also take registrations and any player who has friends who would like to play at Merrimac in 2015 is encouraged to invite them to participate in our initial get-together. Training times on Sunday are as follows: Under 6/7/8 - 10.30am to 11.30am Under 9 - 11.30am to 12.30pm Under 10/11/12 - 1.00pm to 2.00pm Under 13/14/15 - 2.00pm to 3.00pm We look forward to welcoming all our families and players on Sunday and with your support launch Merrimac FC into season 2015! 17.01.2022 MERRIMAC FC - OFF AND RUNNING IN 2015! Join in the rush to join Merrimac Football Club in 2015! Members, old and new, are invited to attend registration this morning. We will be open from 10am to 4.00pm. If you can’t join us today we will be open from 10am until 2.00pm tomorrow!... Players are invited to bring their boots, shin pads, cap and water bottle and join in the kick-around with IFA coaches and the little ones can enjoy unlimited time on the jumping castle! 16.01.2022 After a successful 2014 season, it is with our greatest excitement to re-appoint Oscar Langone as Head Coach of Merrimac FC for the 2015 season! We are sure that Oscar will be able to take the team to the next level and continually improve on a stable base he has developed this past season! We would also like to welcome our new Reserve Grade Coach for the 2015 season, Steve Coates. Steve has had extended coaching and playing experience on the Gold Coast for almost 10 years and we are delighted to have him join our Merrimac Coaching Team for 2015!

14.01.2022 Merrimac Football Clubs successful Working Bee (22nd February) Thank you for your patience as we worked through the necessary steps to have Merrimac FC ready to launch the 2015 season. A very successful Working Bee was held Sunday and we would like to extend our thanks to the many players and parents who gave their time to assist with the general cleanup, maintenance and repair of equipment and kit organisation. Your efforts, particularly in the wet weather, were appreciated ...by all members of the Merrimac Football Committee. Plus we would also like to thank Masters Nerang for their support this year, who kindly donated us with many materials to assist in clean.

11.01.2022 FGC notice - ID Cards & Uploading of Photo's (age 12 to Seniors) Please be advised that all competitions commencing this weekend MUST have all player photographs uploaded in My Football Club by close of play on Tuesday 24th February 2015 for preparation of official ID Cards by Football Gold Coast. Failure to upload photographs by the deadline will result in individual players being deemed ineligible to take to the field.... Officials are also reminded to register and upload all of their details on My Football Club to be provided with an official lanyard otherwise they will not be entitled to enter the technical area. The photograph MUST be a passport style image of the head only. Hats and sunglasses should not be worn in the photograph. Any inappropriate photographs may result in a players registration being declined.

07.01.2022 Merrimac Football Club commenced registrations for season 2015 last weekend. We were delighted that many of our 2014 families and players renewed their membership and stated their commitment to Merrimac Football Club. The Committee appreciated the loyalty that was demonstrated so well, by so many, over the weekend! Any former Merrimac family or player who wishes to rejoin their club in 2015 are very welcome to return. We are taking registrations on Thursday 12 February from... 3.45pm to 5.30pm in the Club Lounge and will continue to do so into the season. If you are not able to make the registration tomorrow, please contact Cecilia Kirby on 0402510277 or Steve Miller on 0416832125 and they will arrange another time to suit. If you were swayed by conversation and publicity to register with another club, but would like to return to Merrimac, we can certainly assist you with the process. De-registering with a club and re-registering with Merrimac will not cause financial hardship. If you require any additional information in regard to how to return to your club do not hesitate to contact Football Gold Coast. Merrimac Football Club is open for business and is very much looking forward to taking its place in the Gold Coast Football Season/2015. Many of the founder members of Merrimac FC, coaches, supporters and sponsors have rallied to support Merrimac and with its new team of dedicated committee members, families and players working together our club will only continue to grow and strengthen into the future. 04.01.2022 Merrimac 2015 Junior Training Schedule Unfortunately, the weather has now impacted on our start to training and with the unsuitability of the grounds we have to cope with yet another delay. However, we can now advise parents of the club training schedule. Under 6 - Wednesday/4.00pm to 5.00pm... Under 7 - Wednesday/4.00pm to 5.00pm Under 8 - Tuesday and Thursday/4.00pm to 5.00pm Under 9 - Tuesday and Thursday/4.15pm to 5.15pm Under 10 - Tuesday and Thursday/5.00pm to 6.00pm Under 11 - Tuesday and Thursday/4.30pm to 5.30pm Under 12 - Tuesday and Thursday/4.30pm to 5.30pm Under 13 - Monday and Wednesday/4.30pm to 5.30pm Under 14/15 - Monday and Wednesday/4.30pm to 5.30pm Under 18 - Monday and Wednesday/5.30pm to 6.30pm Metropolitan - Monday/6.30pm to 7.30pm Seniors - Tuesday and Thursday 6.30pm to 8.00pm Training will commence on Monday 2 March at the times listed above. The start date will allow the grounds to dry out and be safe for training. In order to welcome the players and parents of Merrimac FC we will hold a Welcome to Season 2015, including training and introduction to coaches and managers on Sunday 1 March 2015. Training sessions will be conducted for the age groups listed below: Under 6/7/8 - 10.30am to 11.30am Under 9 - 11.30am to 12.30pm Under 10/11/12 - 1.00pm to 2.00pm Under 13/14/15 - 2.00pm to 3.00pm Players are required to wear football gear, including shin pads and boots. In the coming days information will be sent to parents regarding kit collection, final payment of playing fees and International Football Academy training fees. Parents are reminded to log on to My Football and register their son/daughter. Remember to click on Manual Payment at Club when you are prompted to indicate your payment choice.
