14.01.2022 Students given lasting lesson from teachers... It’s been a tough year for our Year 12s and this term has been no different! After defeating the students in Netball last week the Teachers' Futsal team finished off the year by winning the 5-game series in style. The students were off to a lucky start with a rogue shot finding its way into the goal, which was closely followed by a second, and the crowd went wild. ... Unfortunately for the students it was downhill from there as the teachers found their feet. Some may remember Liverpool’s remarkable victory in Istanbul, others will remember Man United’s victory in Munich, but yesterday was the game that topped them all. The teachers soon found their groove and started to put the ball where it counts. Before we knew it, the game was level. The students looked rattled and the teachers kicked on, the link up play between the teachers was reminiscent of Kewell, Cahill and Viduka in their prime. The game continued, resulting in 5-2 win for the teachers. The captain, coach and chairman of the Teachers' team was heard saying ‘’This is up there with one of my proudest moments in the field of sport. I will be talking about this for quite some time. Definitely a top three moment’’. A fantastic effort by the teachers and students, it has been a very entertaining series and some say that in the end the best team won... Well done to all involved and we look forward to continuing the Futsal competition next year.
