25.01.2022 For anyone with glasses who is new to wearing a face mask, a nurse let me know today that pinching the wire at the nose can help reduce the fogging of your glasses (it helped me breathe a little better too:)

23.01.2022 Hello and welcome to our brand new Facebook page! We have decided to go online to be able to keep all of our patients up to date regarding various aspects of our practices, particularly during this current pandemic. We want you to be able to be kept up to date with any changes that may affect you in relation to our operations to avoid as much disruption to your service as possible. Please always feel free to visit our website or contact us if you have any queries or concerns.... As at the 16th March 2020 our operations are unaffected (as normal). None of our staff have been overseas for many months. Our priority is your safety and we will notify you of any changes, if or when they occur. In the meantime, please feel comfortable attending our practices, however we ask that if you have been overseas in the last 14 days or have been in contact with anybody with COVID-19, or you have flu like systems, you refrain from attending. If you are unable to come in and need any prescriptions (say for glaucoma etc) please call or email us so we can assist you with this. We appreciate your cooperation during this difficult period. 11.01.2022 As of Monday, June 1st 2020, Merrington Optometry are now open 10am till 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. We have implemented new safety procedures. We can now perform almost all our normal testing. To keep us all safe, please dont attend if you have a cough, a sore throat or a fever. 10.01.2022 Hi everyone, We are still trading as normal despite all the government changes, however if you have glasses or contact lenses awaiting collection, today would be a great day to collect as the government has said further changes will be coming and we are unsure of what that means for us. Also, if you need things such as glaucoma medication prescription or dry eye medication prescription or even back up glasses etc we are able to see you quickly atm to try and get this to you before any lockdown may occur. Even if lockdown does occur we will aim to get the product to you via post or personal delivery.
