23.01.2022 FOR UP TO DATE INFO ON COVID-19 VISIT: https://www.health.nsw.gov.au//dise/Pages/coronavirus.aspx If you have travelled to or transited through Iran in the la...st 14 days, isolate yourself from others for 14 days from the day you left Iran. Its important that you stay at home, do not attend work or public places, keep away from other people, and not attend any gatherings big or small. Even if the gathering is in a family member or friends home you should isolate yourself and not attend. Avoid close contact with anyone who has cold or flu-like symptoms: stand at least 1.5 meters apart and avoid touching each other, such as hugging or shaking hands. If you are unwell you must not attend work, public places or any gatherings, even if they are gatherings in a family member or friends home. If you develop a fever, cough, sore throat or shortness of breath (even if your symptoms are mild), seek assessment by calling ahead to your GP or healthdirect on 1800 022 222. Self-isolate and do not attend work, public places or any gatherings. For more information on self-isolation visit: https://www.health.nsw.gov.au//hubei-contacts-and-travelle Farsi translation in comment below.

22.01.2022 The NSW Government is strongly encouraging NSW citizens to wear a mask in high-risk settings to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in NSW. Wearing a face mask... provides an additional physical barrier to protect the community and help reduce community transmission. Continue to practise physical distancing, wash your hands regularly and if you are unwell stay in and get tested. For more information about the protection that masks provide against COVID-19 visit: https://www.nsw.gov.au/media-/health-advice-update-on-masks

19.01.2022 ARE YOU USING A SPACER? With the current air quality conditions around Australia people with #asthma are relying on their reliever / puffer medication more hea...vily. It is very important that you use a #spacer with your puffer. Using a spacer allows more medicine to get into the airways where it is needed. A spacer is recommended for all ages, not just children. http://ow.ly/NCbi50xVJhR #AsthmaMedication

16.01.2022 Are you finding it difficult talking to your child about the coronavirus? Its normal to be feeling anxious at these times and its natural for children to p...ick up on our feelings and emotions. Children may need extra attention and reassurance and it is important we ask them how they are feeling and clarify any misunderstandings. Weve developed an online booklet for young children you can read together that explains what the coronavirus is and how we can stop it from spreading. Download it here: https://bit.ly/3aKRiPd

16.01.2022 Reminder that we are NOT a testing clinic. Call us for advice but if you are displaying flu symptoms, have travelled anywhere overseas or been in contact with anyone who has COVID-19 do NOT enter the medical centre. You must self isolate and call reception.

12.01.2022 There has been a lot of discussion amongst my colleagues in general practice about the response to the novel coronavirus outbreak. I have just spoken at length ...with Kerry Chant from NSW Health about this. (Chinese subtitles are available: ) They are very clear that they are asking people to call their GP for a conversation -- not to attend in person. It is important that you have clear instructions. If you have travelled to China in the past 14 days and you have symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat or breathlessness, please avoid contact with other people. Do not go into crowded places, or take public transport. Do not go to your GP. General practices are not equipped to handle a case of this virus. If you are unwell, you can phone your GP, or your nearest emergency department or call the HealthDirect helpline on 1800 022 222 for advice. If you have suspected novel coronavirus, you will require specialized investigation, isolation and treatment in a hospital. We understand that advice will evolve as more information about the incubation period and the transmission of the virus emerges. #coronavirus #Sydney #CoronaOutbreak #update

You will see signs at the top of the driveway directing you to the clinic. 03.01.2022 Flare-ups do happen, and in children they are most often caused by colds and flu. These are almost impossible to avoid. A flare-up is different to having #asthm...a symptoms. They are generally more severe and require urgent medical attention. A sign that a flare-up is looming is where your childs symptoms dont respond to reliever medications, or return quickly after a dose. Learn more about flare ups here: http://ow.ly/6pkM50ycFY5
