24.01.2022 Judging is underway at the 2019 Dubbo Show NSW State Sheep Show. Ram classes are done for us picking up a 4th in the Ram under 14months shorn class. Suffolks are also being judged at the same time in another ring at the other end of the shed. The woolly ram born in August picked up a second place ribbon.

13.01.2022 Merton has been in Sydney to support #AgVision for the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW, cultivating careers in agriculture. 10.01.2022 Yesterday saw the tail end of the lambs go to sale in Dubbo, sold by Barlow & Peadon Schute Bell. The heavy lambs weighing over 60kg made $202/head, topping the market of their kind, with the seconds to them making $175/head. The two pens of younger lightweight sucker woolly lambs made $120-$130/head. Each year we wether the tail end of the rams and cull the ewe portion to sell early as prime lambs. CFA ewes were also sold and with the mutton market holding firm the 5-6 yea...r old ewes made $175/head. With uncertain weather at our midst and rain nowhere to be seen on the horizon, it is always hard to send sheep earlier than planned. We continue feeding daily our keeper flock of ewes and progeny for 2020 just praying for a better season. #whitesuffolk #suffolk #pleaserain #muttonholdinghigh #eatmorelamb #australianagriculture
