17.01.2022 || A YEAR IN REVIEW || This time last December, everyone was discontented about the smoke from the horrible bush fires and were looking forward to 2019 finishing and a great 2020 ahead. The Real Estate market was steady and people were nervous about prices. In January we experienced more fires and sadly their were lives and homes that were lost with in our community. February arrived, and were inundated with floods and water damage to houses and businesses. March reared its ...head and COVID-19 struck. The so called 'experts' believed that real estate prices could take a up to a 50% hit. They couldn’t have been any more incorrect. In April we learnt to work from home remotely which lead into.... May where we began to show houses by appointment and video link. Hand sanitiser was second nature and we couldn't shake your hand to greet you. June came and property prices were still strong and everyone was waiting for the crash of the market. During July to December the market rose by a further 5%. With strong sales, not many properties on the market, and rental properties hard to find. There was more demand than supply. Then the Federal Government put $25k incentive on to help builders. There was no immigration but 450,000 ex pats come back to Australia to live, BUYING and LEASING! As we have all experienced, 2020 has been a year like no other.
