17.01.2022 Veteran Cameron Grant’s life changed when his close friend and fellow soldier, whom he worked alongside in the Australian Army, suddenly died by suicide. This sparked a different purpose for Cameron, igniting a career change from the Army to mental health support. My friends and I were quite close, so when one of them died by suicide, it left us shocked, Cameron said. I didn’t expect it and wasn’t aware he was even struggling. It was not okay.... With a Psychology (honours) degree and experience as a mental health peer worker under his belt, Cameron is now undertaking a Doctor of Philosophy (Psychology) with guidance from MESHA. 15.01.2022 This morning we were pleased to welcome Brian and Ian Schumacher to MESHA on their Adelaide stop for the Integra Service Dogs Australia Coast to Coast Ride. Brian and Ian are currently cycling from Fremantle, WA to Sydney, NSW to raise funds and awareness of the role of assistance dogs working alongside those who serve our community and country. The brothers are riding 4400 kilometres in 44 days to raise $210,000 to provide an Integra assistance dog for seven veterans and f...irst responders. MESHA is proud to support this wonderful endeavour with a $25,000 donation. We wish Brian and Ian the best of luck for the rest of their ride!

10.01.2022 Ahead of ANZAC Day, we are reflecting on the incredible sacrifices made by our service men and women. These brave individuals risk their lives to serve and protect our community, but those who thankfully return home often have to continue to fight physical and psychological battles. For Curtis McGrath OAM, a life-threatening injury sustained while on deployment in Afghanistan changed everything. ... The very moment that could have ended his life became the catalyst for a remarkable journey of recovery, resilience and triumph. Watch now to see his extraordinary journey of life after service. #MESHA #MESHealthAus #ANZACDay
