07.01.2022 The Truth About Going Blonde Colouring your hair from dark to blonde is not an easy process. A lot of clients think it can be done in one sitting. That’s not the case at all! It means visiting your hairdresser every 4-6 weeks, patience, a lot of money spent, using the recommended products, applying less heat to your hair, and skill on your colorists end. ... No matter how safely we lighten your hair, there will always be some sort of minimal damage because blonde hair is more porous. Expect to spend several hours in the salon and be open to the idea of your colour being in that ‘in between stage’. We aim to still make sure it’s a beautiful colour, but please understand that if you have been dying your hair brown/black for a long time, it will always throw a warmer tone.
