16.01.2022 Regarding the Millennialial Kingdom of Messiah. "We therefore contend that, after Jesus Himself preached this Kingdom, taught His disciples publicly and priva...tely, considered them qualified to proclaim the Kingdom, and sent them forth also to preach it - after all this, it is sheer presumption to question their knowledge of it. It is folly to suppose we know the nature of that Kingdom better than they did, who were expressly commissioned to hold it forth as an inducement to repentance. If they were in error on so important and fundamental a point, it is unreasonable to suppose Jesus would leave them in error, send them forth to disseminate error, and thus allow them, commissioned by Himself, to deceive the people. It is incredible, and yet if we are to believe eminent and good men, Jesus actually sent forth His disciples to preach erroneous doctrine." George N H Peters 1884. George Peters stood almost alone on the North American continent fighting for the correct understanding of the Jewish question. It was a time when theologians had decided that the issue of Israel was redundant, and those holding to the message of the Bible as being in essence a Jewish message to Israel (who had been prepared for centuries to receive it) and then to the Gentile world was not the correct interpretation. They had concluded that theowners of the Bible were not the Jew, but rather the Gentile Church. Then what advantage has the Jew? Or what is the benefit of circumcision? Great in every respect. First of all, that they were entrusted with the oracles of God. What then? If some did not believe, their unbelief will not nullify the faithfulness of God, will it? May it never be! Rather, let God be found true, though every man be found a liar ..... Romans 3:1-4 Viewing and teaching scripture through the prism of the people that God had entrusted the oracles to, the Jewish people, was disparagingly referred to as the Jewish husk. Such arrogance Paul warned about in Romans 11. The husk of course is pigs food, it’s not for human consumption. So everything Hebraic was systematically removed leaving the church woefully inept and deficient in preaching the full counsel of God. The rich root of the Olive tree was cast aside, and in its place a pseudo intellectual (in terms of understanding the Eastern mindset that produced the Scripture), Western Hellenistic mind took over. This theology, that finds no room for Israelology, marvellously written on by Arnold Fructenbaum, is now manifested in Replacement theology, otherwise known as Supersessionism taught and preached by most American church’s. And this theology has been exported worldwide. Basically it rejects the faithfulness of God to His covenants. So George Peters laboured alone, not even recognised by his peers, even as he wrote the most extensive work on the Millennial reign of Messiah from Jerusalem with His covenant people back in Eretz Israel.
