23.01.2022 SECOND COMPONENT: REMNANTS, HABERDASHERY & FABRICS Sewers and Crafters this section of the sale is for you! Lots of great things including: Offcuts and leftover fabric in small amounts sold as is, bundles will not be split off... Some fabrics by the metre flat $7 a metre only sold in one metre increments Haberdashery: zips, buttons, pins, ribbons, bias binding, etc Uncut patterns and sewing tools Any teachers, child carers, artists or interested customers are welcome to bring a bag to fill up for free with small remnants good for collage, doll houses, small jewellery pieces, etc. NOTE: You must bring your own bag for free scraps. First this Friday night a lovely Twilight Market at the @gasworksplaza from 5-9pm (keep your the predicted doesnt eventuate). Then Sunday, 20 September, at Coorparoo Square from 9am to 1pm. Lock them in and come support local makers and small businesses

21.01.2022 Unfortunately this windy weather is set to get crazy on Saturday. In the interests of everyones safety I wont be setting up my stall at @backontherack. Cant have marquees, racks and changerooms flying through the air! But never fear Ive got three great events coming up in September so stay tuned for announcements soon. Inside stalls will still be set up @backontherackbrisbane so drop on by if you get the chance.

18.01.2022 Unexpected good luck! I’ve been able to get my hands on a few more metres - enough for about three garments - of this amazing bush flora fabric by @kirstenkatzart. Tunics are back in my Etsy store for ordering or DM if you’d like to discuss another of my designs in this fun summer fabric. A reminder that custom orders for 2020 are closed now but orders for early 2021 are being taken.

When i use to go clothes shopping (you know, pre-COVID), I loved touching every item in the store, just to feel the fabrics of each item. Its the same with choosing fabrics for my bags, I cant help but be swayed by a beautiful textured fabric. I guess thats why velvet is such a winner to me, soft, luxurious, and oh so pretty! 17.01.2022 I spent the weekend catching up on orders including this glorious aline dress in my favourite fabric to sew, Marimekko. Another of their classic fabric designs in dark navy, pink, red and orange. This fabric is now finished but there are a couple of aline tops in it available in my Etsy shop. First in best dressed! If they havent sold by Saturday Ill have them at @backontherackbrisbane.

17.01.2022 While we cant really travel at the moment, we can staycation in the new VACATION DRESS! Debuting tomorrow at the @theempireplantsback pop-up from 9am to 1pm. Ill have one set (S, M and L) available and more next Friday for the @themarketfolk x @gasworksplaza Twilight Market. This will be a small batch make as limited panel material available - panels, which are front and back, will vary across dresses. They wont go into my Etsy shop so please direct message if you have questions. Composition: Panel is cotton/linen blend, test of dress is linen.

These earrings by the truly talented @missbondjewellery arrived from Tassie yesterday. While I knew the black and gold were coming the sneaky Meta Bubble Studs were a delightful surprise! 10.01.2022 XMAS WRAP UP When you’re friends are super talented you can get your hands on amazing pieces like this beautiful work of art by my lovely friend @emerpepper. Not only did she deliver it in person but accompanied it with a gift box of treats (I have to confess to already having drunk a bottle of champers and eaten the gingerbread person). Very spoilt. Can you guess what the springy thing in the gift box photo is? Yet another fab and funky pressie from the gorg...eous Andrea and Suzi of @grace.and.olive technically for but handy holding paper towels in my kitchen! And just when you think all your Xmases have come at once, feministmas happens! Thanks to the fun and fabulous @sam.pidgeon for a brilliant feminist Xmas party last night, and my cute Kikki.k pens. My secret Anya (Mrs Claus) present was these amazing feminist cards and to top it all off my beautiful friends @cronkandtonic just dropped of this hilarious boob planter (so on theme!) To all you wild and wonderful women who have shopped, chatted, supported and laughed with me this year THANK YOU. You’ve all made a difficult year so much more fun and bearable. 07.01.2022 SHAZAM This is totally my sort of outfit... the delightful Shay in her Japanese wave/spot aline top... Ive got outfit envy! Sadly this particular fabric has sold out now but its sibling is still available (see Mondays post). Gorgeous Japanese cotton/linen blend, slightly heavier weight than most blends but super soft to wear.
