28.01.2022 Ah, the good old days I once had a friend and client express concern to me about what type of training she’d be able to do approaching 40, and whether she’d be able to keep doing Metafit. It’s a fair question. I didn’t have the answer at the time, as I was a relatively inexperienced group fitness instructor. But that comment stuck with me. So I started learning more.... Today she still does Metafit, but has a customised plan. Group fitness only gets you so far. Do you want to still be trying to follow fitness trends in your 40’s, 50’s or beyond? 17.01.2022 So I've been drafting up our online "mini course" schedule for 2021. I didn't get to do as many online programmes as I would have liked to last year, but really enjoyed our Toned AF in 30 days challenge towards the end of the year, and our Kickstart Fat loss at the start. Mini courses are fully online and delivered in 30 days and all doable from home. They're designed to be interactive, educational and achievable. ... Some of the topics I've come up with so far are: Sweat free fat loss, Meal prepping, more core strength at home (Toned AF Intro & Advanced), Fat loss for busy parents and combating emotional eating.... What topics would you like to see on our schedule?

11.01.2022 At some point you’re going to have to make sacrifices to move forward. That is up to you. Sometimes we get stuck in a rut ticking boxes - showing up, going through the motions. ... If you feel unsatisfied with where you’re at it’s time to get out of the rut, and that usually always requires a change in your own behaviour. For example, if you want to trim down, tone up and get stronger - you might need to trade off some time doing other things to get there. You might need to learn new things, you might need to practice new skills. My minimum recommendation has always been 3 hard sessions per week for busy people, and we can see great results with that applied consistently. If you want to do our Fit AF in 40 challenge, I’m asking you to up that to 5. I don’t care if I see you at the shed every day, online only, or a combination of in person and self directed sessions (at home or in the gym) - but you need to decide a course of action and stick to it for 8 weeks. As I said to a client recently - I can’t progress you on a random schedule. If you’re already doing 3 sessions, I’m asking you to find 2 x more 30 min time-slots in your 168 hour week, and I’ll tell you exactly what to do with them. It’s not my decision to make on when and where, it’s your life and you’re the expert on where you CHOOSE to spend your time. I just offer solutions based on evidence and experience of what needs to get done. I also can’t do the work for you, but I will offer as much support as I can to anyone who puts the effort in. 01.01.2022 Just wrapped up up our final workshop for 2020 - How To Set Goals You'll Actually Achieve. The top reasons for failing to achieve fitness goals listed by attendees were: "Unrealistic goals"... "Failing to write them down" "Trying to do too much" Did I miss anything? So I discussed the goal setting method I use with my 1:1 clients to set them up for success. It's a little bit different! On that note I have 5 remaining 1/2 price Personal Training sessions available for use in 2021. Message me now to secure 1 or all of them.
