24.01.2022 This is the latest creation from the Metalika workshop. A solid metal frame with a recycled hardwood top. It’s the first collaboration where metal meets timber thanks to our good mates at @woodbymossy who handcrafted the tabletop. If you are interested in a similar design, or have something else in mind get in touch. #metalandtimber #rusticfurniture #customfurniture #buyfromthebush #handmade #bespokefurniture #cafetable #bartable #madeinaustralia

23.01.2022 Looking for a good option for your outside stairs? Aluminium treads on gal steel stringers will last when exposed to rain and sunshine #customfabrication #custommetalwork #northernriversbuilder #northernsw #stairs #balustrade #nimbin @hayes_steel

19.01.2022 Working on custom security doors this week. You won’t find one like this on Bunnings shelves.

17.01.2022 Moto carriers that don’t flop around while driving are coming soon. Jigging up for a run now. #custommetalwork

17.01.2022 Perfecting the art of welding aluminium, it’s a challenging process at times but the end result looks great when you get it right. #custommetalwork #alloywelding #northernrivers

15.01.2022 Working with Seb at Lillian Rock Firewood to make his operation more soundproof has been a good challenge, and we’re definitely making progress in the right direction! #custommetalwork #metalfabrication #northernrivers @hayes_steel

12.01.2022 Here are some photos of my latest custom stair projects. Galvanised steel spines with hardwood treads. Railing and balustrades with timber or stainless wire to suit the look you want.

09.01.2022 The rain has brought cooler temps, which is a welcomed relief. Don’t know how much longer I could of handled welding outdoors with the sun beating down close to 40 degrees. Back to the shed for now #custommetalwork #metalfabrication #northernrivers #northernriversnsw

09.01.2022 We fitted a custom security door today. It has a flyscreen to keep out the critters and is great for keeping the airflow on those hot summer nights that will be here before you know it. The door is also lockable from the inside. #securitydoors #custommetalwork #bespoke #northernriversmetalwork

09.01.2022 Kiln dried hardwood on metal stringers, always a good look! #custommetalwork #metalfabrication #hardwoodstairs #northernriversnsw #northernriverstradie

08.01.2022 I replaced a set of stairs for a local lady Dianne Gregory who’d been using her old rotten ones with two steps missing for way too long. Check the old set compared to the new, lucky she didn’t hurt herself navigating the old set. #customstairs #nimbintradie #metalfabrication #builder

07.01.2022 Welding up stair stringers. The trick here is to get all the angles right within a few millimetres. No room for wonky stairs!

07.01.2022 Here's my latest custom projects.

07.01.2022 The start of a new project today with Seb from Lillian Rock Firewood Co. Bit hot to be welding in this heat though #custommetalwork #metalfabrication #northernrivers @hayes_steel

05.01.2022 Metal over timber anyday. Why? Size perfect, straight, stronger, most times quicker, well when building a subfloor it is! #custommetalfabrication #metalfabrication #northernrivers #construction #welding @hayes_steel

05.01.2022 It’s time to moto. Makes it easy with these G-Racks we’re making. Especially if you’re flying solo! #motocarrier #motorcycle #dirtbikes #husqvarna @transmoto

02.01.2022 One of the great things about starting METALIKA is working with my Dad Phil again, who got me into the metal work game in the first place. He’s always been very creative and known for making quality custom motorcycle and one-off exhaust systems. Here’s a few pics of him bending some header pipes using a technique that’s not so common these days. He packs the tube solid with fine sand and bends the tube by hand heating it as he goes. You can see the end result in the other pics. If you need some custom header pipes hit us up.
