We are still looking for interest students and a mentor to start up their own team with our help. We can supply you with a base kit, guidance from our expert mentors, metal minds team shirts and insurance. Get in touch if you would like to learn more and join the world of Lego Robotics. 22.01.2022 This is our FRC team, they are based in Launceston (the PO BOX is in Evandale). Congratulations Team on winning their first award.

21.01.2022 And they're back..the FRC team and their robot..

20.01.2022 When the bins goes put more than the FRC robot, its time to redress the balance. Metal Minds Robotics robot can't compete in competition at present so it took the bins out instead, but not before filling them up first. @binisolatinoutingoffical #binisolating #omgrobots #Nationals #southercrossregional #rockwellautomation #sageautomation #departmentofstategrowth #tassieteam #rbdelectrical #Bankwest

19.01.2022 And let's hear it for the kids in black metal minds robotics Mersey team. They'd spent countless weeks and hours perfecting their robot to do outstanding runs with high scores, unfortunately on the day their robot decided it was exhausted. Whilst it wasn't the ideal time for it to slow down the team show unwavering spirit and commitment to the competition and 9th/18 is nothing to be sniffed out. Watch this space these kids (in black) will be back. Well done to the Mersey robotics .

17.01.2022 January 28th Happy birthday to the Lego brick. The Lego company patented the design on this day in 1958.

16.01.2022 Well done to our rookie team They did incredibly well yesterday at the FIRST Lego league competition. Whilst they didn't take a trophy they did do some excellent runs with their robot. Thank you to our rookie mentor Markus who got thrown in the deep and swam beautifully with his team.

09.01.2022 Robert Leighton, a true legend last night left this earth. Robert, a wonderful gentleman who had faith in our vision and helped us for many years get Metal Minds off the ground. He founded Leighton Springworks 50+ years ago and was instrumental in getting Agfest off the ground. His mind was always full of ideas and he never stopped exploring and learning. Rest in peace Robert and Thank you.

08.01.2022 With COVID slowing down our fundraising efforts we are relying upon the entertainment book to help us through the year. With cafes, restaurants and hotels open again in various locations please consider buying a book from us via the link below. Your support is greatly appreciated. https://www.entertainment.com.au/orderbooks/9x60216

03.01.2022 Head down to Bunnings Kingsmeadows to get a snag and help out our local robotic club in Launceston

02.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who supported us last year it made a big difference to our teams and help them get to Sydney in December. We are once again promoting the Entertainment book as one of our fundraisers. I was sceptical about the book and it took me years to buy one but now I am a convert. So far last year I saved over $300 off cafe and restaurant bills, the latest being last week were using this app knocked $15 off my bill. The book had paid for itself within the first ...two visits to a cafe and I still a whole year left to use it for. For those who loved the book (me included) unfortunately, the physical book is no longer being printed and the entertainment book is now digital. The advantage with it being digital is that you can remember to use it easier as it is just there on your mobile, it also has the added bonus of receiving updates when you log in from any new businesses come on board during the year, something you miss out on with the book. Preferred the book and not sure who to use the digital one. We can help. I know for those who preferenced a physical book this is not good news, however, If you wish to support us and buy a digital copy we will be happy to guide you through the setup and provide a tutorial in how easy it is to use. This year's offers also include multi-city use for a few dollars more. That means that you would be able to use it in Tasmania and other states in Australia, New Zealand and Bali. The early bird offers are available by clicking the link below which will take you directly to our page to order. If you need any help ordering setting up or using it please do not hesitate to drop me an email. It really is easy to use and the bonus of getting all the new business updates (I have noticed on mine that some companies come on board twice so you get to another discount with them later in the year). That has to be a win-win for the digital version. Please click this link to go directly to our page. https://www.entertainmentbook.com.au/orderbooks/9x60216
